Popped in with 4 other folk this last Saturday and all four of us grabbed the Pulled Pork special. Let me tell you what the place has going for it. Everyone there was friendly and awesome, food was fantastic- in fact I felt bad eating it because I wanted to enjoy it longer. Now the BBQ was fantastic, as one would hope with a place that specializes in BBQ, right? Well the Fries, those were fantastic as well- I mean good home-made fries with seasoning that gives flavor and heat, oh yeah! They even make their own Beef sticks, which were great- we all sampled the mild ones (no hot ones avail) but man, I would love to get some hot ones if theyre even half as good as the mild were. Owner was fantastic too, provided a sample of the Brisket for us to try and it made me sad-- I wished I had ordered the Brisket as well as the special! Despite the fact I live in Erie county, when I make my next trip up to NT for whatever reason, Im stopping in again, and you should too!

Great place. Arrived at closing time, but the woman serving us accommodated my family. The brisket was nice, juicy, tender. My wife loved the fries! Sadly, there was not high chairs for toddlers. Poor waitress was trying to close up as we ate as fast as we could. I felt selfish indulging on brisket (its been more than two years since Ive had good brisket). Our waitress cut up some brisket for my daughter, gave her some corn bread, and did her best to make a kid plate. That was awesome of her! Her service is why my family will go back again soon!

Its the second time Ive bought take out....both times, the chicken was dry, scrawny and tasted boiled, waterlogged....the pulled pork, the first time, it was just like Lloyds from the grocery store..way too much bland sticky sweet, sauce...2nd time I asked for no sauce and it was hard, old, hard, it was a clump of inedible dry mess....$11.00 and change...im on a fixed income, i cannot afford to waste food...never again..btw..it was so smokey inside, I had to go outside...is that even legal?

This was the worst food Ive ever had. Fries tasted like a Christmas tree with way too much seasoning on it, mac and cheese was dry and tasted like nothing more than smoke, the meat was too salty and full of other seasoning, I could barely eat half a slice. We ordered 3 meals and not one of us came close to finishing. I really hope it was just an off day for them, if not, I dont know how theyre still in business.

J & L BBQ catered my daughters wedding on September 6, 2015. It was delicious. There was more food than what you expected. The brisket was juicy and tender and drooling good! The mac and cheese was equally wonderful as was the pulled pork. I didnt have any chicken but that was probably good too. They were right on time and set up quickly and professionally. I would definately use them again. Thank you J&L!!!

Underwhelming. High price for average portion size. Brisket was dry and some pieces were cold. Pork was OK but not much flavor. Ribs were good, as was the mac and the beans. A sample of the stew was tasty. Asked for water and was presented with a bottle when tap would have sufficed. Overall nowhere near as good as has been represented by word of mouth unfortunately.

Its rude to go to dinner when a restaurant is closing for the night. Cooks are closing, putting things away. Not only that your extending everyones night. You dont know how long of a shift the staff had been working! Cooks then have to everything back out again, ovens could be off, grills etc. Its not fair to the staff. Go to McDonalds lol always open.

The BBQ here was amazing. Its slow smoked and made the old fashioned way. I had ribs and the meat fell right off the bone. My wifes pulled pork was awesome too. The atmosphere was that of a small dive with cool things on the walls to look at. The staff and owner were very friendly. I will definitely be back when Im in this part of town.

The pulled pork and briskets cook for 16 hours. The baby back ribs take 4 hours too cook! If you like bbq, J&L BBQ is the one!
