I have never written a review of a restaurant before but my experience at Habaneros last evening is worth sharing. My wife and I had been there once before and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was good and we liked the outdoor seating area. We returned last night for dinner and we will not be back. The food was ok but our experience definitely left us with a bad taste in our mouths. My wife ordered a regular size Texas margarita which is basically a margarita with Grand Marnier. This sounded good to me but I wanted a Monster Margarita which is very large and obviously costs a bit more ($12) but according to the menu is not available "Texas" style. So I ordered the Monster Margarita and asked for 1 shot of Grand Marnier with it. I knew this would up the price a bit but I was not prepared for what happened next. We got our bill and they charged us $24 for my margarita! My one shot was the cost of the entire drink! I knew this couldnt be right. I asked our server about it and he said that this is the cost for a Texas Monster Margarita which isnt even on the menu and not what I ordered. I explained to him that I ordered a margarita with the one shot but he basically told me that when you order a Monster Margarita with Grand Marnier , this is what you get, this is what it costs, and he couldnt do anything about it. So I got curious and went up to the bar and asked how much a shot of Grand Marnier is. The bartender told me the price of the shot which was not even close to $12 (it was around $5 or $6) and I then explained the situation to her. She was very helpful and took my bill into the restaurant to try to help get things resolved. She came out with her manager following behind her. The manager said not one word to us but expressed her anger at the bartender, in front of us, for trying to help. We were stunned. The bartender apologized and explained that they wouldnt be doing anything to resolve our issue even after she had tried to make things right. She was very nice and obviously embarrassed that she was not able to fix things and because she had been scolded by her manager in front of customers. I am actually pretty upset at myself for not going inside, finding the manager, and pushing the issue further but at that point we just wanted to get out of there and never come back and we didnt want to get the bartender in any more trouble. I never thought I would be able to say I was overcharged for not only a drink I didnt order but a drink that didnt even exist according to the menu. Most of all, (and this far overshadows the fact that I was overcharged) I cant believe the way the situation was handled (or not handled) by our server and management. I can honestly say until last night I have never been in a situation where a restaurant flat out refused to resolve a problem and where a manager could be so unprofessional and disrespectful not only to us but to her employee in front of us. We will not be taking our business there again.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We sat outside and ordered guacamole dip, an nachos supreme. The "guacamole" dip was mushed up avocado. The nachos were almost all lettuce. There was also shaved chicken and ground beef on it, but everything on the plate tasted exactly the same, and it was swimming in grease and possibly water from the lettuce. In short, it was horrendous looking and tasted disgusting. The water and sweet tea was good, and the chips on the side were awesome.

Amazing place to have dinner. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside on the deck. Another review recommended the Carnitas and they were excellent! I highly recommend them. Service was good and you get free chips and salsa with your meal. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to switch it up and not eat seafood every night!

We stoped in for a quick bite on our way from Charleston and were really blown away. The food had a great flavor. Chimichangas were delicious. Servings were ample sizes and a great value. We asked for sides of sour cream and guacamole and those were huge as well. Really enjoyed the pitcher of margaritas too. Thank you!!!

I wanted to like this place, but everything seemed to go wrong. Our server mixed up our order twice, and eventually we just ate what we could from what we were given. The beans were watery; the rice was nondescript; the fish tacos were just a hunk of fish on a taco without any trimmings. The guacamole never came.

Requested to sit on patio. We were brought menus, silverware and chips. Waited 15-20 mins server never came back to get drink order . Finally seen a staff member and told them we hadnt been served yet . Waited for 5 more mins still no server. We just got up and left. The place was not busy. Only a few cars in lot.

The food is always great. My family and I know a few of the staff members personally. The service is always amazing. Our favorite is the Marlow Special which can feed at least 3 to 4 people with 2 tacos each and possibly some left over. Ive tried other items on the menu and it never disappoints!!! Awesome place!!!

Yummy little restaurants with a relaxing setting. Our server was very attentive and took great care of us. The food was a little salty but overall pretty tasty. The frozen margarita was my favorite, but then again... What plate of rice, beans, enchiladas and chips and salsa is complete without a margarita

Nice service, but food was absolutely bland. No chef, no taste. Even the complimentary chips were greasy, and the salsa had a dead, dull lack of flavor. Habanera server accomplished the mission, take order and deliver food quickly. Too bad management failed to check for taste. Food,yes; good food, NO.

Decent meal, nothing overly negative or positive about the experience. Salsa was generic with a Pace like consistency. Chicken was low quality with little done to mask it. End of the day it is an average restaurant, with ok service, and food that did the trick but wasnt worth writing home about.

Best Mexican food in Pawleys!! Hector was an awesome server, all wait staff are super friendly, you feel like you are one of the family! Kids loved the burritos and the Guacamole Mexicano is to die for!! Thank you Habaneros, we will be back again before our vacation is over!

Im giving it three stars because I really enjoyed the margarita. The bartender was great. The food itself was just OK In hindsight, I probably should have just stuck with having some margaritas and chips. I probably will return, but I just wont get dinner there

Great restaurant! Warm fresh tortilla chips and delicious salsa. I had the Habaneros special and it was enough to feed three people! Plus the flavors were amazing! Probably the best deal on the menu. Well be back to explore other menu options.
