We were able to make a reservation for a Thursday night in July 24 hours in advance. Once we arrived, we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. My husband ordered a shrimp pasta, and I ordered a short rib ravioli special only to have our server come back out letting me know that the dish had been sold out. I ordered chicken francese as my backup plan. Our meals were very large and good, but I was really hoping to try the special. Our server, Boris, was very friendly. The inside of the restaurant is quite snug, and you definitely cant have a conversation without being overheard. Total before tip: $67.50 - 2 glasses of wine - 1 appetizer - 2 entrees

Pomodori is a small yet homey restaurant with a very Italian feel, complete with a ravioli-making machine on one wall and a map detailing the regions of Italy on another. Pomodori offers a daily soup; a number of appetizers including fried zucchini served with a delicious aioli sauce; and several kinds of pasta, including a soft gnocchi or tortellini. Although most dishes are quite large, I found the gnocchi was an exception. For gluten-free customers, Pomodori offers a zucchini alternative. The servers, including Boris, the one who served my family and I during our last visit, are very attentive and seem to be glad youre there.

Amanda, we just wanted to put a SHOUT OUT to your restaurant. We were the later table that stopped at 843 for a cocktail before getting a time at your restaurant. My "VEGAN" zucchini pasta and veggies was the BEST EVER! And the warm olives, we love! My husband works for a trendy Italian established restaurant in pittsburgh and we appreciate how well your food is prepared with quality ingredients! The service was superb as well. Just forgot our servers name!! We travel to the island every 2 years from Pittsburgh, Pa and just LOVE your food!! Until our next visit... Melissa & Rick

Read the only 2 reviews and took a chance. It was fantastic!!! Staff was very friendly and accomodating for my family. I am Italian and this was the best that I have had in years. We currently live in Charleston, SC and this just blows the restaurants Ive been to there away. Ive never taken so long to eat rigatoni. I just wanted to savor every bite. You wont be disappointed, but make sure to make reservations at least a day in advance. There is a good reason why they are always booked.

WOW! Best Italian in the area! As someone who has grown up in a very Italian family in NY my whole life, I can honestly say this is some of the best Italian food I have had. This is a must visit when in Hilton Head. But make your reservations! They are often booked full 3-4 days in advance. Homemade sausage, Homemade pastas, Homemade sauces and top of the line ingredients! The prices are amazing too! This is located on the corner of New Orleans and Route 278. Check it out!

I tried several times to get reservations and they were booked each time, I was very curious of the high ratings and continued to call to reserve a table and it finally happened. I must say I was very disappointed, the service was excellent and courteous and friendly, however was not impressed with the quality of food served. I ordered chicken pom, the chicken was dry and fried crispy, the sauce was tasteless, the wine was excellent. Would never go back again.

Food was amazing - from the lemony Brussels sprouts as an impromptu app to the pappardelle (subbed in both the Marsala and vodka pasta dishes) and dessert from tiramisu to classic brownie sundae. We sat at the bar where Lisa made an incredible meal all the better with her kind and attentive service. Polished but not too stuffy atmosphere was a bonus. Highly recommend if youre craving carbs and a nice glass of wine in HHI.

EXCELLENT. Every dish, I mean literally EVERY dish was executed exceptionally. gnocchi...pillows, scallops...sear to perfect, buy not over cooked, ravioli special...amazing. I asked to meet the owner Amanda, and she graciously came to our table. This has to be one of the best kept secrets on the island! And oh yeah, waiter was a pro...well done all!

The waiter was excellent, the decor was alright (ware house-y), and the food was ok, but definitely NOT worth the price. Very limited menu. Fried Zucchini was merely dipped in flour batter and fried. No taste. Spaghetti and Meatballs were tasty, though. Salad with fig dressing was good. I wouldnt come back or suggest this place, though.

We had reservations but still waited for 15 min. Service seemed discombonulated and not well managed. They only serve beer or wine. Our waiter was an older man and seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on. Most likely will never come here again. Too expensive for it to be so terribly ran

Amazing!!!! Took my girlfriend here for a trip we took to Hilton Head. Everything about it was amazing. The service... they had my name on the table because we made a reservation, that was so cool. The service was great, and the food was just just about the best Ive ever had. Just an amazing place.

This was our first time at Pomodori and it definitely will not be our last. Everything was great, the food, the service and the price. Ambiance was definitely a plus. The chef/owner knows her stuff. Ordered clams with buccatini and it was possibly the best I ever had. Will definitely be back.

We walked in and they said they were booked solid for the night, nonetheless they managed to squeeze us in at the bar. It was comfortable and cozy, food was delicious, and service was attentive. The location isnt the best (its in a strip mall) but once inside that doesnt matter as much.

We eat at all of the restaurants on HHI and this one is consistently outstanding. Love the vegetarian lasagna. Service is super good. If youre lucky, the chef will stop by your table and talk about her experiences in Tuscany! Prices are reasonable. I think I will go again tonight!

We were disappointed. The food was overpriced and bland. The main problem however, was the water dripping from the ceiling onto our table. When we asked the waiter about it, he acted like he didnt have any idea what we were talking about. It then dripped on his face and he walked away.

A few major highlights (the cheese in the caprese salad was incredible) but Im pretty sure the tortellini was store bought and bland. At the price point, I was expecting more. Ambiance and service were great though.

This is the best italian restaurant on Hilton Head. We have lived here almost 10 years and are thrilled. Restaurant is small but cozy. Make reservations early. This jewel fill up fast.

One of my wives favs. and she is Italian but ate there last week with another couple and was way overpriced and meatballs were utterly tasteless! Try using even some salt.
