Derek and the crew from Hilton Head Ice Cream catered our dessert for our wedding on May 13th 2017 at Palmetto Dunes. Being from St. Louis, MO., we struggled with many vendors regarding the planning, however that was not the case with Hilton Head Ice Cream. Everything from the communication down to the custom flavors was perfect. They did a champagne sorbet in addition to 5 other flavors that were outstanding! Everyone at our wedding was a bit skeptical when we told them that we werent doing cake, rather we were having an ice cream cart. Needless to say, our friends and family are still talking about how perfect the choice was and how professional the service was. They worked with us to make sure everything was perfect, even in the face of inclement weather. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional desserts for your wedding, or just in the market for the best scoop of ice cream you can find on the Island, there is no better option than Hilton Head Ice Cream!

Great ice cream! My favorite place for ice cream on the island, if not for ice cream out of all the places Ive lived in the state. Its homemade- always super creamy and loaded with whatever mix ins come with the flavor. My fave is Cookie Monster even though Im a grown adult- its worth the blue tongue. Free toppings bar and fair pricing for a hand scooped, home made ice cream place. Nice porch seating outdoors, cool saltwater aquarium and unique decor inside. 2 suggestions for this place- 1) maybe a punch card for locals/ frequent customers? We always can use an excuse to get more ice cream during the offseason or the summer! 2) For the birthday cake ice cream- maybe add some cake or icing swirl? I love the flavor for other places, but only sprinkles doesnt do it for me.

Well, you are not going to believe the Miracle that happened to me today!! My husband and I live in Southern California. Fathers day had come so quickly I did not get a gift in the mail to our Dad in Hilton Head South Carolina. It is Saturday the day before so I had no time to get a gift in the mail. I went on line and found the amazing Hilton Head Ice Cream. Our Dad loves ice cream yet how do I get it to him, after all he is now 92 year young. Well the owners understood my situation and personally delivered a gift certificate to our Dad right to his door. What a Blessing!! Thank You Soooo Much!! You have truly made our day!!

Hilton Head Ice Cream has been a staple in my Hilton Head experience since first coming to the Island six years ago. The interior has been cleaned up a bit, but the ice cream remains as one of the best parts of my vacation. The variety of flavors, thickness of the ice cream, and overall experience is proves to be my favorite ice cream experience, every time. I recommend their chocolate, oreo, or cookie monster ice cream, but you cannot really go wrong. Their smalls are not small - it says two scoops, when in actuality it is really just two scoops and then an additional 1.4 more scoops to fills the cup. Enjoy!

Came here with family. Ice-cream is easily the best we have all ate. The sizes of ice cream are extremely large in comparison to the salty dog ice cream factory, which we had earlier that week. All ice cream is made hand made, and very fresh. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming in addition. If you have stomach issues with dairy, and etc. it is recommended to take lactose pills of some sort, as the ice cream is extremely thick. Definitely one of the must-visits for the Hilton Head Area.

AMAZING!!!! So many different unique flavors. As a chocolate person, I love that their chocolate chips are huge chocolate chunks. Everything tastes fresh and the best part was the extremely helpful, nice staff! Will, Harrison, and Evan were were very patient with us even though we arrived close to closing time. Theyre all super knowledgeable and you can tell that they really enjoy their jobs and take pride in what they do. Spoke very highly of the owner as well!

Ive always loved getting HH ice cream, but on the latest occasion, I found, and put into my mouth, an acrylic nail. A NAIL in my ice cream. It was confirmed to have come from one of the servers, and all we got was our money back and 2 15% off tokens. When the manager called the owner, he told us to come back the next day when it was convenient for him. Disgusting nail and poor customer service. Do not come here.

Busy spot but they are very fast and efficient- with ample employees on staff to handle the busy times. Decor is pretty cool and flavor selection is what one would expect. The ice cream itself was not special. It was just ice cream. And that is perfectly fine but I cant really compare it over some of the other ice cream shops that have spectacular quality taste.

The Truth
Always our top option for ice cream when we hit the island. Their homemade ice cream never disappoints. The only criticism I have is I wish they would branch out a little on the flavors they offer, and try some new offerings. Although I did see that this year - bananas foster, banana pudding, bubble gum, smores.

We went to this place and ordered some ice cream despite some of the warning signs. The ceiling was leaking, with several buckets around to catch the water. When I got my ice cream, it tasted like freezer burn. When I complained they exchanged my 6 dollar malt with a 3 dollar scoop in a cup.

Loved it. Great flavor choices and nice staff. Both times we went there was a line out the door. I wish there was a bit more space to move around, especially when you have a lot of people inside and kids running everywhere pushing people. Overall though it was great!

The product is very good. The owners are locals and the service is much better than one would expect in a tourist area. This is worth the wait as there is usually a line to order. The unisex bathroom even shows a commitment to customer service one would not expect.

I have lived on HHI for the past 2 years. And this is my go-to ice-cream place. It is a really nice shop and they have a wide variety of flavors. My personal faviorte is the brownie cheescake or the mint oreo. I cant wait to try their pumpkin cheesecake.

Good quality ice cream with a helpful and friendly staff, however, there was a lack of quantity of flavors which I personally didnt mind the flavors they have are sure to please the masses and yuh theres a fish tank in the middle of the store

Ice cream was really good! Worth the price for sure. I love the atmosphere and cant wait to go back. It doesnt matter that they dont take cards because they are trying to cut costs and keep really good ice cream. Definitely check it out!

Wonderful job on renovation, even brighter and more fun than before. New outdoor deck. Most importantly still the best ice cream on the island hands down! Creative new flavors. And now the best chocolate chip cookies too. Dont miss it.

Our family loves ice cream and Hilton Head Icream is definitely the go to location for ice cream. Its creamy and delicious with plenty of flavors to choose from. Its a must visit location everytime my family visits Hilton Head.
