I always eat at Sarku whenever I see one because the food is good, but todays experience left me with a bad feeling about the restaurant. I am in the Asheville mall eating my meal as we speak. The cook seemed to be very upset with me. I asked for beef teriyaki with veggies only. He slammed the food down on the grill...frowning....not saying a word. When my food was ready, he slammed it down on the plate and shoved it toward me. Was it because I didnt leave anything in the tip jar? I dont know....but I sure dont want to now. I am still upset about this. Did I do something wrong???

I need to say that this is NOT Japanese food. This is American style chinese buffet style food. Im actually studying Japanese and have talked about this chain with friends that live in Tokyo. No one has a clue what this is. That being said. The food does taste good, which is really the important factor. I just hate that they advertise it as something its clearly not.

Bland noodles. Vegies were hard/raw. Teryaki chicken seemed weak in flavour as well. Would not recommend.
