Powdersville location. Very bad experience tonight. They were not really busy. Was greeted upon arrival and advised there may be a little wait. Once at the table drink orders taken and after about 10 minutes another person came and asked what the drinks were again. They were at the table a few minutes after that. When the food order was taken apparently they did not put in the sushi order. Drinks were never refilled. Wait staff never showed back to the table after drinks were delivered. The food was good and cook presentation was good. The ticket was never delivered to the table. Had to get my own to go box. Talked to the girl at the register to get my ticket and let her know that the sushi never arrived at the table and that drinks never refilled. Will have to think about visiting there again. I hope it was a off night for them.

Dozo is the greatest sushi & hibachi restaurant Ive ever been to. The food is fantastic. The servers are always kind and caring. I always go in for the sushi & Im never disappointed. Its usually pretty empty inside, which I find charming. I think I may get some sushi tonight :D Also, I dont think you should show up to a restaurant 5 minutes before the special expires and expect to get it. You have to consider the process of getting seated, drinks, and getting your order taken, and then the server actually putting the order in the computer. Thats gotta take 8 minutes at least. Anywho, I recommend Dozo to everyone I know! :D

I took my boys here Sunday to celebrate a baseball win. The food/chef was comparable to any of the hibachi style restaurants in the Upstate area. We tried the Gwen roll which was very good as well. One large disappointment was that we purposely went to the restaurant just before 6pm (arrived easily at 5:55 or earlier) to get the dinner special. Since the server entered our order in the computer at 6:04, the early bird discount was not honored. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived and one other couple ate with us.We are talking $6.00- off of a $50 bill. I paid the bill, tipped 18% and likely wont be back.

Dozo is the best sushi establishment in the upstate. the prices are not that bad compared to other places and the portions are quite large. The two brothers that are chefs there are some of the nicest, funny, and brillant people ive met. Its always a joy to sit at the sushi bar and enjoy a nice conversation over wonderful sushi. Ill agree you to the person below....you cant show up five minutes early. thats more your fault vs Dozos. :/ sorry. Wonderful waiting staff as well. always assists in picking new kinds of sushi. On a side note. Try the new york roll. Maybe the best ever and priced wonderfully for what you get.

Delicious sushi and hibachi for a reasonable price. A roll here is about 8 pieces, which is bigger than most other sushi places in the area, yet its still cheaper. There can be a hit of a wait sometimes, you have to go right up to the hostess stand and tell them how many in your party and everything, dont just stand there waiting for her to beckon you forward. I would recommend reservations as it can get busy at times, and again, when you go in, go right up to the podium and tell her your reservation info. It is absolutely the best sushi in the area, and well worth any wait.

When we go we ask for Mike, brilliant Chef all together but the Laugh. Chef Mikes laugh will forever be embedded in your mind. The food, try Japanese style steak. Perfect, or the Japanese style Tuna on the grill it melts. No complaints, their sushi menu is wonderful, our favs are the French kiss and Godzilla rolls. They are all good though!! Josh and Robbin Bailey.....Chef Mike is where its at!!!

The chefs understand flavor, how to combine foods, and how to bring out the natural flavorful beauty of the individual ingredients. The food was all wonderful from our appetizers, to sushi, to habchi. We have been to many places as habchi and sushi are one of our favorites. So we were very happy to find such a pleasant gem with such good pricing!

Dozo is my favorite spot when I get a hankering for some sushi! The prices are super reasonable, and the sushi is fresh and masterfully crafted. The owners are fun to talk to and always make the right recommendation. I bring my family and friends there and everyone always has a great experience! Best value for sushi in the Southeast bar none!

Weve been eating at Dozos for years and love it. One side of the restaurant is Hibachi, the other sushi. Weve only eaten sushi and so I cant review the hibachi side but weve always enjoyed our sushi. The prices are very reasonable, portions are ample and the the owners and staff are always welcoming and kind.

Best Sushi in South Carolina! Xue and his wife run this amazing Japanese restaurant that is off the beaten path in Easley. Xue is the best chef. I wish I would have taken a picture of the sushi plate he made for us tonight. He has been featured in the Oxford Journal. They guy is amazing!

It was so fun dining at Dozo. Our hibachi chef (Wilburto I think) was making us laugh the whole time with his jokes and he dazzled us with crazy flaming tricks while cooking us tasty food. Ive had better hibachi personally, but it was still very good and the experience was awesome.

We just came back from Dozos in Easley, SC. It was a great experience. The hibachi cooks are really entertaining and the sushi chef knows exactly how to prepare what we liked. Even our kids had a blast! We highly recommend this Japanese Restaurant to anyone going to Easley, SC.

Love the sushi here and the seaweed salad but Im not crazy about their hibachi. Its just a matter of taste I guess. However I could eat my weight in sushi and its impossible for me to pick a favorite but anything with ahi or yellow tail tuba would be my front runners for sure.

My family and I came in to eat sat for 20 minutes with no greeting or even a drink order but people were seated next to us and order immediately. I will not be back and I will make sure to spread the word of terrible service. Ill now eat at Kampi next to bi Lo.

As far as the sushi goes...its OKAY. But if you have been to enough sushi restaurants to know whats a good sushi roll and what is mediocre like I have then Dozo probably wont impress you. Its your basic run of the mill Japanese restaurant.
