I used to work in the wedding planning industry and there is nothing I hate more than wedding vendors who are rude to brides. My mother called up the Trestle because weve always heard how great their cakes are, they only have set times that brides can come in and do cake tastings (which I have never heard of) and they refused to set us up a better time since I work 8:30 to 5 every day except 12. No cake is good enough to have to be inconvenienced for. Its no wonder they got complaints about service on here just a few months ago, apparently theyve gone down hill over the last year or so. Its sad really, especially with newer, more accommodating places like Croissants around, you would think an old local store would appreciate its locals coming to spend money there when there are better options, guess not.

The one star is not for the quality of food. If that is all you care about then ignore this, because the food is great. However, I was quite displeased with the service. In any place Ive ever worked the customer is #1, but it seems some people have forgotten who pays their paychecks. Conway is a smaller southern town and the people that are originally from around this area know how to treat one another with the southern hospitality that we have grown up with. I hope Conway doesnt grow so much that it forgets its roots.

Debbie Downers beware. Recant your tales of dry cake and declining taste with just one Trestle cookie! :) Granted Im a dude so cant relate to your wedding cake woes but I stop in here all the time for pastries and other baked items that are tops! Plus they have the best do-it-yourself coffee bar Ive found yet. Its a great place to stop in after a meal and grab a coffee and pastry to take away for a stroll along the riverwalk or through town to the awesome conway library.

Been coming here since I was little. This is the place that introduced me to my favorite dessert-cannolis. Not the best Ive had to this day, but in the top 3 best cannolis. Great bread. Great cream filled desserts and danishes. Sometimes they sell bread at half price. Same with donuts toward the end of the day. Great coffee-not strong, just how I like it. I recommend this place above everywhere else in conway.

Chicken fried chicken was beyond greasy. Could not eat it. Informed the waitress and she apologized and asked if I would like to try something else. Ordered a sandwich which was great. Manager only took $1.25 off of my meal. I essentially paid for two meals. One of which I could not eat. Definitely will not be returning.

I have worked with the Trestle staff on weddings and catering jobs. They are unprofessional to say the least and seem to go out of their way to go against the brides wishes. Their baked goods used to be good however their quality has gone downhill over the years.

This place is the bomb! I drive up from Charleston several times a year just to bring home a dozen or so loaves of sourdough bread! Jennings Chestnut took me there when it was just a little corner diner, and Ive been going back ever since!

The cake was dry and the butter-cream had bubbles and lumbs in it. I am pretty sure they just get there butter-cream in a bucket. Nothing like the real thing. If your looking for a good cake, got to Cake My Day in Conway!
