This is mines & my families FAVORITE Korean restaurant! Anytime were craving Korean food we come here. The Ajumma who runs the restaurant is so sweet & The atmosphere is very chill & quiet aside from a lone tv running in the far corner of the restaurant. Weve gone to a couple other korean places in the area & their food IS good ( I recommend you try every place to fairly gauge your personal favorite) but not as good as O-bok in my opinion. If its your first time going & youre not sure what to get, I highly recommend The Korean Salad or The Starter Sampler to start & The Galbi as your main dish. Made perfectly EVERYTIME. Not once has anything been mushy, burnt, under or over cooked. And remember to try EVERY banchan (side dish) that comes with the meal. Some of it looks sketchy but you wont know what you like until you try it! Id never had Seaweed Jelly in Sweet Mayo (I know that sounds gross but its great) before but I love it now!! =^.^=❤

Terrible service from the owner. Food is generally okay. On my last visit, the dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap smelled like dish detergent. Our entire group and the server agreed. A few minutes later the owner came from the kitchen and very informally and rudely argued with us (in Korean). Her first words were literally "what smell?". No greeting, no excuse me, sir or maam. She insisted that "Nobody else complained. Why you?" She then stated that if she remade the dish, it would smell the same. When the others finished their meal, we went to the register to checkout. The owner was on the phone, stayed on the phone, did not greet us or make eye contact, and literally threw my credit card and bill back at me. This is simply unacceptable service from any business. As a customer, I am angry.

The atmosphere is okay. Its not an authentic Korean atmosphere to me though and thats a take-away for me. The food was just average, nothing too special. I tried this restaurant after I had tried Hankook Korean Restaurant (which is right down the street) and it left me a little disappointed. I expected the same kind of quality food that I had received at Hankook and sadly, they didnt deliver it for me. My mother is Korean and I feel Hankook is more authentic. O-Bok is not a bad restaurant though - its just not it for me.

I love eating here. I even had my last couple of birthday dinners here. I LIVE for their kimbap. I have to control myself from ordering more than 2 servings at a time. Their food is a taste-bud orgasm. I start getting huge cravings if I dont eat there in a couple months. I would go more often if they werent on the totally opposite side of town. Needless to say their food is really good, and the best part are the endless side dishes. I can never eat all of my food in one sitting. Money well spent.

Have tried all Korean restaurants in the area and while certain establishments may have certain dishes they prepare slightly better, my number one choice remains O-Bok. Great Korean classics, generous helpings, and a friendly staff that is more than willing to continually refill your delightful additions you get for most meals! I highly recommend the Korean Salad-- as spicy as it can be prepared!

Obok is about as close as you can get to my Korean mothers cooking. I always get the bulgolgi. They normally serve 12 side dishes at dinner, twice the amount as other restaurants I have visited. The only other restaurant that comes close to Obok is in Fredericksburg, VA.

The lunch bugolgi was a very small portion and very dry... It had no flavor. The kimchi was sparse and had been sitting out of a while. Service was also slow and unfriendly. There are several other options in town that I think are better... I would suggest them.

Absolutely delicious experience with service that continuously asked if the group I was with needed anything, extra. Savory, spicy, and salty side dishes were limitless and allowed us to creatively augment an already delicious meal. Highly recommend!

The service was the best. I went to many Korean resturants and nothing was as close to O-Bok. I highly reconmend this place. I wish to come back and eat the galbi. Ive said this many times but the food is BOMB!!!! ❤❤❤❤ I LOVE IT. SOOO GOOOOOD
