Here on Nov. 19th 2016. Food was excellent with amazing flavors reminiscent to traditional style. Had "Grandmas Bibimbap" , fried dumplings, thai tea, and Kalbi. Thai tea is very tasteful an extra bite of tea versus others around Charlotte. A must have. Bibimbap was very good but not having the burned and crispy rice on the bottom of the bowl as with more traditional Korean eateries in Cali missed its mark, but flavors are still on point. Kalbi was perfect. Only item was sub par from this particular experience was the fried dumplings. Their oil used is great, chicken filling somewhat drier than anticipated and the fried dough/dumpling skin was tasteful, but the inner side of the dough was slightly uncooked. Service was a bit lacking in the beginning with no menus and water in the first 10 minutes of sitting down until we requested for service. Possibly due to being fairly new, theyre still working out the kinks. But once they knew we sat down and waited in the beginning, staff was very attentive during dining. Overall, a great atmosphere. Loved the décor. Just my personal taste but wished the music was louder and lights a bit more dim. But thats just me experiencing my NYC Asian fusion restaurants in NYC. Overall, this is my new favorite place. Highly recommended. =D - Jimmy with JimsReviewRoom

This place can be a little confusing to find because you cannot park where you can see the restaurant. You have to park on the side or back of the shopping center and walk around front to the entrance.. Nice ambiance. Cool lighting.. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We stuck with Thai dishes this time but will probably try Korean dishes next time.. The Green Curry with chicken and lemon grass.. was excellent. Chicken slices were thin and tender. The sauce was rich in flavor but not overly thick.. Spice levels are 1 to 5. I tried a 3 but will probably choose a 2 next time.. The Pad Thai with both chicken and shrimp was also very good. The servings were plentiful so there was some to take home for lunch the next day.. A scoop of green tea ice cream for desert. We will definitely be back..

Had the opportunity to stop by Hibiscus for dinner. Ambience was good, comfortable seats and the food had good flavor. I was juat very disappointed with the food you see pictured. Although the flavor was good it is not Korean Bulgogi as they advertise it. Bulgogi is all meat, and this that you see here is a noodle dish which by the way is served with rice, so double the carbs lol. Just a little perplexed, but overall it was good. If there is a next time I will just ask the waiter for specifics on the dish.

Korean cuisine that tastes like it came straight from your grandmothers kitchen. Unapologetic for the flavors, the restaurant is family owned and operated and every dish is carefully selected and prepared as if served from their kitchen table to you. I had the pleasure of chatting with one of the owners and it is obvious he is proud of what they offer and with good reason! I promise I will return time and again each business trip - maybe I will relocate after all!

Went for dinner on a Thursday night, The service is good and knew dishes very well, menu is somewhat limited and pretty darn pricey but good quality. Worst of all for a family of 5, there are no kids menus or really any dished less than about $12. No sweet tea, no unsweet iced tea. Bibimbap and seafood pancakes are really good, but the later was very small for the $14 cost, I think there were only 3. Bulgogi was good, but not much meat and a lot of rice.

We Love Hibiscus!!! Weve had Thai food all over the country and feel lucky to have such a fantastic place in CLT, and even better right here in South Park. We order take out about every 2 weeks from here and they are so consistent - great quality, great taste, great customer service! The red curry and pad thai are our favorites.

Hibiscus is a fantastic new Thai fusion restaurant with a Korean - Thai menu that you should definitely check out. The Bangkok Curry was some of the best curry Ive had in Charlotte, the Bibimbap was equally delicious, and the cocktails are fantastic. Do yourself a favor and check Hibiscus out. You wont be disappointed.

I went there about a week ago and it took 20 min for somebody to come over and wait on us. The food took 30 min to come out and was cold and had to send it back. We talked to the owner and he was rude and said it was our fault. Terrible experience, wouldnt recommend anyone going to this place.

Friendly service. Food was great. Had papaya salad with fish sauce- fresh, crisp flavor; bulgogi- sizzlin hot, soft meat, with Jasmine rice just the right wetness; mango sticky rice- sweet, firm yet soft (not mushy) mango over sticky sweet rice, a perfect match. Will definitely be back.

They have tofu option for vegetarians and none of their curries contain fish sauce. I loved the atmosphere - great for a date! The decorations are super elegant and the food is amazing. The staff were very friendly!

Im not sure why this place hasnt gotten much promotion in Charlotte. Really good Asian food and without a lot of Korean options in the city, this is a must try.

Funky space, new twist on Thai standards and you gotta try the Apple Pen cocktail after you watch the Apple Pen skit on YouTube.

Food too sweet and Americanized, would be a lot better if done more traditionally and didnt skimp on any ingredients
