My boyfriend and I tried this out for the first time today and we absolutely LOVE it!! We really liked how the restaurant itself has such a nice, rustic, casual feel to it. Kevin was our server and he was AWESOME!! He was very energetic and seemed genuinely happy to help. He explained the menu to us and was very patient and helpful in answering our questions. Hes probably one of the best servers weve had here in Charlotte. Other employees stopped by occasionally to check up on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and were well taken care of at all times. The food was AMAZING and came out fairly quick. The crispy pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the dipping sauces complimented all the meats very well. Our fire chicken was really tender and juicy. The vegetables/sides were prepared just right so that it balanced out all the savory flavors of the meat; the salads were so light and fresh! We spent just a little over $40 on 3 meats, along with 3 different sides, and ended up taking some home with us as Kevin said we might have to do, so I feel the pricing and portions are reasonable. Overall, we really had a great first experience here, and will definitely be returning again and again and again. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends, as it would be perfect for any kind of social gathering (dates, girls/guys night out, catching up with friends, etc.) If youre looking for a fun, casual place to dine, with great food and awesome customer service, Seoul Food is the place to be!

Fun atmosphere....I like it because its roomy, everyones not rubbing elbows. It was the 7 of us....5 kids & adults. We ordered almost everything! Chicken by far the best. We ordered half half (spicy & garlic) kids love the garlic & we are spicy. The pork belly....I love it & hate it. Love the crispy skin but the rest was gelatinous. Wouldve liked it crispy on both side. Fire chicken was good. Spicy & cheesy. The fried tilapia was a! Perfect soy seasoning & crisp to perfection. Inside was moist & delish! My fav. The sides....potato curls was my kids fav. Pickled soy egg was ok. Spicy cracklings....eh. beer food. Dirty rice....reminds me of Korean bean sprout Rice with soy season sauce but no bean sprout. It was ok.....I wouldve loved some bean sprout. Mac n cheese ramen....nobody liked it except out 1 yr old. It was bland. But overall....it was great. Service was awesome! Host & server was super duper. Made our evening great. Thank you!

I dont understand why the ratings are so high for this restaurant. The food was totally underwhelming. The flavor was one-dimensional and overly sweet. We had wings, tacos, kim bap and ribs. The kim bap is like a seaweed roll with rice and a protein. In our case the rice was warm but the chicken was stone cold. I dont know if thats how its supposed to be. All in all, theres nothing worth going back for. Whats with serving the food in cardboard containers? Maybe its supposed to conjure up that street food vibe but it comes off as cheap...and if theres one thing that doesnt apply to this restaurant is the word cheap. None of the dishes come with rice and a small cup of steamed white rice costs four bucks. Our server was very good... gave us a good rundown of the menu and checked in just often enough. Nice big patio so maybe catch a drink there then head somewhere else to eat.

Great food menu. Clever beverage program with very affordable pricing. Fun games for many demographics, but really the perfect place for Charlottes yuppies. Rent a private karaoke room for your friends, dine al fresco, or just enjoy one of the fine bars. The spot is exactly what South End needed for a long time. Its very trendy still, and its already been open over a year. The operations side of the business could really use some improvement otherwise. Maybe hire fresh or experiences eyes for this kind of oversight. Much of the aesthetics on the back side could use improvement. Multiple loose boards creating a hazard on the back patio have been present for months but could be easily repaired with hammer and nails. Despite inefficiency for volume on back bar, the whole place is a great venue to bring friends or a date. Highly recommended whole the trendiness remains.

A great new addition to the citys restaurant scene. Phenomenal service, our server Gabby took the time to ask if wed visited before and explained the odds and ends. We ordered the beef rib, half and half wings, kimchi fries and ramen Mac n cheese. The wings and rib were outstanding, the rib having a great char to it but also very tender and juicy and the wings were double fried and very crunchy. I wasnt the biggest fan of the sides personally. Expect to wait a little (maybe 30 minutes) to be sat, as the place is very hip and popular but our food was brought very quickly once we were sat. One of my favorite things was the fact they have a dog park on premises and played K Pop music videos on the walls, very different than other places in the QC.

Fun find on a passing trip out of CLT. We ordered a couple drinks and the fire chicken and some sides. Drinks were tasty (and boozy, even coming from altitude in CO) and the food was good--the sauces really stole the show. The cheese on the chicken was a little overkill on the "southern" aspect of this fusion. Service was incredible and fast, especially on a busy Friday night with bar tenders navigating a cacophony of bubbah-bros and perma-sorority ladies yelling over each other for "that beer with the watermelon" and "whats in the bulgogi?!" Ambiance was loud inside; the patio looked quieter and nicer for a less face-meltingly hot day. The folks next to us ordered the pork and we had order envy. Would definitely return on another trip.

This is probably our favorite Korean spot so far. Weve already gone back twice and usually like to try other places first but could not resist going back for their yummy flavors. Dillion was our waiter the first time, he was great! Explained the full menu and ingredients. We had dirty rice, roasted pork, kimchi fries, potatoe, both flavor wings were good but we perfer the soy over the bbq. And lychee sojo from the bar. Great atmosphere, karaoke rooms you can rent, covered patio bar, games and dog area in the back, which is cool. They need more places like this. Hopefully bring more to the north end, we can only hope lol. Oh.. our second time we got an all order of the soy wings to bring home. Yum!

Great food. The service was absolutely horrendous. Honestly Ive never had such bad service in my life. They forgot half of our food. Charged us for it. Told us they could not credit us back. We had to seek out a "manager" through the hostess as we were leaving because the waitress could not get the manager to come to our table. Finally we got credited back for the food. This all took about 45 minutes to an hour from the time we actually finished eating. Overall bad experience. It is a shame because the food was excellent. (UPDATED, I am 100% positive this is the correct Seoul Food, btw the Soy Wings are much better than the BBQ in my opinion)
