this is my favorite restaurant/deli in town! i work at the publix on rosewood and will skip out on their deli to go to the 5th ave deli to get my favorite sandwich in the whole world, the Harden Street. The staff at the 5th ave deli is wonderful and the women their have great relationships with me and all of their other customers. I recommend this deli to everyone looking for an amazing lunch!!

I really enjoy going to 5th Ave Deli. A friend introduced me to the place and its top notch. Clean, not loud, quick service, friendly, and a good experience all around. They have a reuben that has coleslaw instead of sourcraut and its awesome. I really love the taste of that sandwich and thats what I always get.

The sandwiches are quite good. The selection of chips could be slightly better and the napkin holders slightly cleaner, but maybe thats just me being picky. One time the place smelled like bleach and gave me a headache, but thankfully that only happened once.

To be honest, the sandwiches are great! But theyre very expensive. Most run 7.95, with chips and a drink its $12.00. The pricing is strange, too - a sandwich with roast beef and Pimento cheese is 7.95, but a sandwich with just Pimento cheese is...7.95.

You dont know how good sandwiches can be until you try this place. This place is a lunch gem to downtown columbia and you never can go wrong with the potato soup! Like sandwiches? Go here! Dont like sandwiches? Go here and let them change your life!

Friendly employees, close relationship with the National Champion SC Gamecocks baseball team (coach has a sandwich named after him). The Monroe is my #1 favorite sandwich at any restaurant. The new location is much larger and brighter.
