Ordered take-out fresh spring rolls, pad Thai, and mixed vegetables with shrimp. The spring rolls had a nice fresh flavor, but nothing in them but rice noodles, lettuce, and fresh herbs. Usually for the price they include tofu and/or shrimp etc. The pad Thai was good and the mixed vegetables was as well. Gotta say they were spot on in cooking the shrimp. This dish had tomatoes included that I found a little odd. Seen this before, just not my fav. Perfectly OK Thai food, just not outstanding.

Admittedly, this is the only Thai place Ive been to in SC, but I havent had a need to try another one. Being from the D.C. area where the standard for Thai (among other ethnic cuisine) is very high, Thai Elephants definitely stands up to some of the best Ive had. They are a little pricey - they charge a few bucks for extra rice (the provided amount isnt quite enough). But they make it up with the quality of food. A+

Every time I ask my 5 year old where do want to get dinner. she request Thai elephants coconut soup with chicken (Tom kha gai) and chicken lollipops (satay). I can keep going on about the food like massaman curry, pineapple fried rice served in a half pineapple shell, taro root custard and pumpkin custard. Enough about the food the service is fast and friendly.

If you want original Thai food Thai Elephants Restaurant is the place to go. The food is excellent and has not been Americanized. I cannot say enough about how delicious the food is there. Everyone I met who works there is Thai and very nice and I mean nice not fake nice. If you want a little taste of Thailand this is the place to go.

OK... I seriously rarely rate and our review restaurants in town. I must say, this place.. Its AWESOME! Everything we ordered, I mean everything, was really really good. From the miso soup, crab wonton, kani crab salad, fried rice with chicken and the pad se ew and I mean WOW! Seriously, go try this place.

My new favorite restaurant in the Folly/James Island area. I so enjoy every dish I try. Last night I had the chicken noodle soup - generous helping and full of flavor. We love the wings, gyoza, panang curry sauce and more. Heard the sushi is fabulous - cant wait to try it.

I ordered takeout for myself and my wife. The grilled squid was absolutely delicious, and the pork dumplings and sauce were wonderful. It took a little while to get the order, but it was totally worth it.

Very, very good! Som Tum (papaya salad), Duck Basil, Shrimp Pad Thai... all so delicious! Ive tried many of the dishes here, and everything is always pleasing to the eye and palette! Highly recommend!
