This place has gone down hill, my wife and I have eaten here several times over the past 12 years however it hasnt been the same the last two times we went. One occasion I had a METAL strip in my seafood casserole. It was fairly thin and 1 1/2" long. The staff was apologetic and I shrugged it off as one of those odd things. My last experience on 1/1/14 I ordered a fried sea food platter, it was served without fried clams and without baked stuffed shrimp as listed in the description. When I informed the waitress she said she would see what happened, over 5 minutes later she informed me that they are out of fried clams so she will bring me 2 stuffed shrimp instead of the 1 that should come with the meal. I told her that I should have been informed before ordering as I would not have ordered this meal without fried clams. She said well I didnt know so there is nothing I can do now. On top of this the scallops were fried bay scallops when the description listed sea scallops. Another person in my party was informed minutes before everyone else was getting their meal that they are out of what he ordered so a new choice had to be made and was delayed getting to the table. I expected an explanation from the manager but no one ever came by our table, the waitress dropped off the check and ran. we paid the bill in full with a 20% tip (its not the waitress fault) BUT I WILL NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN!!!!!!! Very disappointing to see this place fall from the quality of food and service they were once know for. I have heard similar stories from others since my visit but I can only comment on my disappointing experience!

Went to the Country Inn with 3 other family members today for Thanksgiving dinner, just like we have for the past 5 years. I could not wait to get back home to write this review. One of of family members asked about the LOBSTER ROLL and was told it was real lobster, and yes I believe it could have been real lobster, but it was actually a lobster SALAD roll, big difference from a Lobster ROLL, and on top of that there was a $3.00 extra fee for that since it was Thanksgiving. The rest of us has the NY Sirloin. All three pieces of steak were clearly difference sizes, when we were told the were all the same size. Ok Enough about the food, the Customer Services experience was also awful. While we were trying to enjoy some conversation during our dinner, everytime one of us put our forks and knives down the busboy would come by to ask if he could take the plate. This is while other people were still eating at the table and the plate of still more than half full of food. We even told our waitress that we felt as though we were being rushed out of there. By the end of our meal the waitress noticed that we were very upset and told us she would send the manager over. We did get to talk to the manager named Judy, and she seemed like she could care less about our experience. Needless to say this will be the very last time we have a Holiday dinner or walk into this place ever again.

Have you ever sat in a chair that you just couldnt get comfortable in and was rather painful? That is what the chairs are like here, with service to match. We drove down from near Boston to go here for our friends 30th birthday because he had had great experiences there before. This was my first time, and he agreed with me that the service was bad enough that it reminded us of the guy who cuts you off on the highway and you want to be there when karma catches up with him. Long story short, we had a reservation, we got there early, and for a half hour after our appetizer dishes were taken away we got nothing from the waitstaff. No drinks, no eye contact, and by the time we had our food we werent hungry any more. We gave the waitress a chance to give us some explanation but she was not understanding at all, and the manager was the same. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but these people took our money and left us with a poor birthday experience. Kind of worse than the guy who cuts you off ...

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Quite a few people have commented on the older following this place has, but I will assure you I am under 35. That being said--I love this place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is homey, the prices are affordable, and the portions are huge. I have had many items from the menu as has my husband and we were never disappointed. My favorites are the Fried clams--which were tender, sweet, and had the perfect amount of coating. The tarter sauce was the perfect accompaniment. I also enjoyed the spaghetti with white clam sauce. The clams were fresh, tender, sweet, and the broth was outstanding. I am very picky about my clams, and this place never disappoints. This isnt a place I would bring younger kids because they find it boring vs. the more family friendly chain restaurants. This is fine with me since I love nothing more then a night out, and some good food just me and hubby. I highly recommend this place for a romantic night out.

On a quiet day or a bustling evening this suburban slice of Heaven serves with vigor, as a staff that are pleasant and more than accommodating wait upon you from begining to end. Its a lovely get together to have a quiet luncheon or a family dinner, as a matter of fact I just celebrated My grandmothers 78th birthday just a couple weekends ago. The hold for a table is never long and they strive to always find you your favorite little place. The portions are wonderfully filling (trust I have a healthy appetite), flavoring and textures are great and the prices are more than reasonable. This place has become a happy tradition I will continue. Full marks, and thank you for your wonderful service to the common and lofty individual. Signed a very happy weekend regular Cheers

We have been enjoying our dinning experiences at Country Inn for the past twenty two years and often take family along as well. My favorite is the surf and turf - their baked stuffed shrimp are to die for and my sirloin has always been perfect. Salads are fresh and the peel and eat shrimp are done to perfection. Occasionally I may order a lessor meal but again - I am never disappointed. I am especially pleased with the adult wait staff - I only wish they could sit and join us as they are all so personable. We reside a half hour away but it would be worth an hours drive just to enjoy the crowded pub atmosphere at the bar on weekends. Anyone who may unable to enjoy an evening out here should probably order in a pizza and just stay home.

Had lunch there today, excellent chicken parm, mammoth portions. Staff was extremely courteous and very accommodating. I had actually left my "doggie-bag" inside and before I could even open the door to go back inside, the waitress was coming out the door with my bag in hand (gigitty). There are literally hundreds of places to go eat the same kind of food within a 15 mile radius of where I live, but I look forward to visiting the Country Inn again.
