Tav-Vino makes wonderful food but the restaurant is poorly managed so its almost impossible to eat there. I went on a Wednesday night and all the staff walked by us without greeting us. All except one who said "what is going on tonight?"with a look of dissatisfaction at the fact that people were walking in. We finally pulled someone aside and asked if we could be seated. There were several empty tables in the restaurant. She said she didnt know if there was a wait or not.I asked if there was a host. She said that there never was. She told me she was just a waitress and couldnt seat us because of the wait that the restaurant maybe had. she wasnt sure of what was going on. No one seemed to know what was happening. When I said "I think they are overwhelmed perhaps we should go somewhere else she said "yeah thanks. See you next time." I am happy to wait for a table but they had several available but no one managing the floor and the very overwhelmed poorly trained waitstaff. I have worked in restaurants for more than 12 years as a waiter. Im not sure how this place can function this way. The kitchen makes great food but unfortunately I wont be back to enjoy it.

Came for a drink at the bar after dinner, and the bartender was so loud that I could not hear the rest of our party. She also kept talking about her faults (I always forget this, I always forget that). One of the worst vodka sodas Ive had. Not sure what their well vodka is, but I did not enjoy it. The lime was the lightest green Ive ever seen which is not attractive to see on your glass. Really cute inside though. And the food looked amazing.

Food is always fresh, lots of locally sourced ingredients, many daily specials that keep the menu interesting. Open kitchen with chefs in action. Owner is warm and welcoming. Staff friendly and attentive. Great service. Gem of a restaurant with high ceilings and windows overlooking the water right outside. Cozy. Highly recommended.
