I generally dont write reviews for stuff but the food was exceptionally poor today. Ive been here before with my girlfriend quite a few times and gotten pretty much what I expected, nothing to write home about but at least it was edible. Today not so much. I ordered the "breakfast" tacos off of the special menu, my girlfriend the smoked salmon eggs benedict. Both plates were exceptionally poor. The sweet canned salsa mixed with the immense salt on the tacos, plus the fact that I ordered homefries (not that this part really matters) and got hashbrowns (which were overcooked in some places and under cooked in others) made it so I couldnt finish a single taco. My girlfriends plate on the other hand, her homefries were again, overcooked in places and not so much in others, and her entire dish was so salty (beyond and above normal smoked salmon, that neither of us really got to finish our plates, and not from lack of hunger. Anyways this review is only to say that we had to pay around 30 dollars for something which neither of us could stomach. -1 star for getting the order wrong, -1 star for bad food (which should minus two but the one star reviews all seem to come from unreasonable people), -1 star for pricing on bad food. And hey, maybe I should have known better than to order what I did, but then again, maybe the restaurant shouldnt put terrible options on their menu.

We eat here at least 3 times a week. Wait staff is top notch. You wont find - better waitresses for breakfast in Providence. They are quick, attentive, and if the cook screws up your order ( wich happens from time to time) they fix it, no questions asked or take it off the bill. Coffee cups are kept full all the time, not to mention the coffee it self is great. The place is kept clean and neet. You can always tell a place by there restroom and you could eat off the floor in there. The only down side , as i said before there is one cook that is off from time to time by. A example would be if i order eggs over medium and i get egg drop soup. But the waitress are right in it and bring me back the eggs done correctly. Those of you that know me know i eat out alot, almost every day. I come here 3 or more times a week , i would not come back if the place wasnt A+

Waited 5 minutes on the bar before anyone noticed I was there waiting, order took 20 minutes to serve, ordered 3 French toast, 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and few slices of bacon, 1 ginger ale total cost $14.13 and the French toast were very disappointing , for those prices I expected the best breakfast in town. I will not eat there again or recommend it to anybody.

Cool spot. Cool people. Beautiful people inside and out with the most respct for the customer. Makes you feel like eating at home. Love it. My wife and I moved from Boston in 2012 and have come to this place a lot of times. Now we live right on the same street and walk to it when we want some of the goods. GET THAT HUNGRY MAN BREAKFAST!

I recently moved to Providence and I have been searching for a good place to eat. It has not been easy. Finally, someone recommended West Side Diner and I am so thankful. I ordered The Works with wheat toast and potatoes. It was wonderful!!! The service was also exceptional. This is my new favorite eatery. You have to try it.

Came for Sunday Brunch, and absolutely loved everything about this place. Plenty of choices for breakfast, weekly specials, and really awesome service. I sat inside at the counter, but there is a small patio around back so you can sit out and enjoy the sun during the summer. Ill definitely be back!

My first dining experience in America, and it was delightful. Really vibrant and clean restaurant, friendly staff and service with a smile. The food was delicious, and the coffee certainly perked me up after my jet lag. I will certainly eat here again when I return :)

We lived in the West side for 6 years and we waited for this diner to open for quite few years, once it opened it has been one of our spots. Our son calls it his diner. The food is consistent, staff is friendly and the facility is impeccable inside and outside.

Usually has a wait on the weekends but well worth it. Menu is great with a nice mix of daily specials. Our waitress was great and she always made sure our coffee cups were full.
