Today was my first time ever going to Sandwich Hut. I was actually referred by somebody who told me they had really good sandwiches....too bad they failed to mention that their customer service SUCKS! I ordered a cold grilled chicken wrap, paid for it, got 2 mins down the road before I realized that i was given a HOT, SOGGY wrap with juices from the chicken and dressing all over the place, it was literally so messy that I couldnt even attempt to eat it...WHO wants to eat a tortilla that is saturated in dressing and is falling apart as you hold it to your mouth??...I turned around & went back in so that my order could be corrected because I paid $10.50 for my sandwich, so I was not going to just throw that money away! Since I was told that it was not possible to make a cold chicken wrap, I asked to please substitue for sliced turkey breast. There is obviously a price difference between a LARGE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST and a SMALL turkey wrap, SO i asked for the difference back. The woman at the cash register (who i assume is the business owner) was so disrespectful and rude! She was so nasty, that if that counter and cash register was not standing between us I would have punched her dead in her face. I asked for my money back and said that I didnt want a new sandwich...her reply was "yes, i think thats best...i didnt feel like making you a new sandwich anyway" With customer service like that, i dont care how good their sandwiches are.... I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!

Great sandwich place for many years in Rhode Island. I would have given it a 5 star rating but here is why not. First of all if you on a limited time for lunch, avoid this place because your wait time will be long. Today 6/21/17 I went in for two sandwiches, one Italian sub from the cold deli counter and one meatball sub from the kitchen in back. I placed my order at 1:21pm and got my sandwiches at 2:10pm. Several were waiting a bit longer because as always, the kitchen is predictably slow. Actually the wait time today believe it or not was quicker than usual. Because of the small size of the establishment (doll house size), it can be confusing who is waiting in line and who has been waiting for their order to come out of the kitchen. Eating area is small but accomodating and restrooms are clean but not consistent. To be fair, their sandwiches are great and best around, however if you dont mind the wait it will be rewarded with a quality sandwich. My advice, if your going to order a sandwich here, stick to the cold deli sandwiches and you will get out faster. Second pointer, when you arrive make sure you ask people in front of you if they ordered, most likely they have and are just taking up space waiting 30 minutes or so for their hot sandwiches to exit the kitchen. Best sandwich, slow service.

I walked in and was greeted by a very enthusiastic man and a woman/girl who looked like shed rather be anywhere else on the planet. She was cordial though, but being that I was there for the first time, she didnt explain much, like what the selections of bread were. I kinda had to pull information out of her. I had the Allitalia and was really impressed. The inventive selection of meats together on this sandwich with fresh provolone cheese was very very good. I also had the pesto chicken sandwich, which I was far less impressed by. The meat was dry and overall the sandwich wasnt very good at all. It didnt taste very much like pesto. Parking here is also strange if there isnt space right in front. There is a lot around back which is up a slight hill and then up some stairs and theres no other way to get there than to walk 3/4 of the way around the building

After 7 years in Providence I recently found this place. After a handful of visits I can safely say the sandwiches are excellent! I ahve come to love the Sasparilla from Yachy Club soda too. However my most recent visit was disappointing. I called ahead and was told it would be 15 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes late and the sandwich had not been made. This would have been fine had I found the store busy, it was not. In fact several employees came scurrying out of the back when others arrived after me. The employee that helped me did not even offer an apology for the sandwich not being ready. A simple acknowledgement would have gone a long way. The experience will make me pause before I go back. Customer Service is a difference maker for me.

Horrible!! This is the fourth time I drove across 3 cities to eat here and I get into the establishment to have the employees tell me they have no bread / rolls for sandwiches. They then try to talk me into ordering an Italian connection sandwich on a croissant. A business thats been in business for this long should never run out of bread. By now they should know how much they sell on good days so that they keep stock of rolls. Theres no excuse for this type of stuff to be going on over and over. Sorry.

Does not live up to its name. If you think youre going to get the "sandwich" of all sandwiches thats not the case. Small is 6.70+tax(not cheap) comes in a small roll that cannot fit many ingredients and is also served without *cheese. Onions and Pickles are chopped in big chunks and just thrown on top. I ordered a two sandwiches when it wasnt busy, got home in East Providence to discover i got the opposite of what i asked for. Turkey was dry Mayo was a cheap brand Just go to Subway!!

This place is great!!!!!! I had it for the first time and it was one of the best sandwiches and dinners I have had in all of Rhode Island but dont take my word for it try it for yourself!!! Tip: I ordered a special and classic sandwich to see the quality when trying a new sandwich spot out it lets you know the quality with that familiar sandwich and how creative of a flavor palate the cook has with the special of the day.

Ill start off with the sandwiches are awesome. But unfortunately the owner has ruined my review. I did not give this place 1 star because of the food, it was due to the lack of customer service provided by the owner. To my surprise she was very unpleasant and impatient. She also had forgotten to put me on hold laughed and expressed her aggravation with me and my order before passing the phone off to a staff member.

I have been a loyal customer of The Hut for almost a decade. I would like to take a minute and address the customer service complaints. I have never had bad service I have just had a few long waits. Never a bad customer experience. As for the food, everything is great. Always looking foward to my next sandwich and stuffed peppers.

This is the second time I place an order get to the restaurant & they dont have what I ordered.. why even take my order ?! & on top of that wait till I get there to tell me they dont have it!! Im done with this restaurant.. I come here every single day.. every time is a problem!! I wont be back here lost a loyal customer
