Sandwich Junction is a historic gem in the Cranston area of Rhode Island. It was established in 75, run by the mother, then by the daughter and most people here have been working in the kitchen for 15+ years. Its an experience to eat your sandwich in and feel the trains whizz by on the neighboring track. Your kids will get a kick out of the novelty that will soon become a rarity with each passing year. The bread is fantastic, fresh and reminds me of Santinis Italian restaurant in Northern Virginia. I ordered the eggplant sandwich with red sauce. The food gets a 3.75 but coupled with the excellent service, history, ambience (lots of old clippings and trinkets), I will make a rare exception to give this place a 4 star rating for reasons beyond food. Did I mention the staff here are incredibly nice, helpful and accommodating? My buddy ordered a Cuban and will be returning for their other sandwiches as well. I will agree with the other reviewer and say that their small size sandwiches are quite filling too.

Excellent family-run sandwich shop. If you get thirsty Track 84, the pub with the best selection of beers in Rhode Island, is right next door! If you are in Warwick then this is the place to pick up a sandwich on the go. They are opened until 4 p.m. Mon through Fri
