Im a office dweller like many of the patrons in and around the greater Worcester metropolitan area and like others I have to have variety in my lunching restaurant experience. Im probably like alot of you out there in 9 to 5 (or more commonly 8 - 6) land that have a specific food item they get from a restaurant they frequent often. Maybe its the chicken enchiladas at Azteca, or the double cheeseburger at 5 Guys...no matter the food, we have a favorite regular we always get, time and time again at our favorite eaterys. The one restaurant that breaks the tradition for me is NERB (New England Roast Beef). They have an expansive sandwich menu and I am taking it upon myself to try as many as I can. Being in an office so close, I would say on average I eat there once a week with my co-workers and the group of us ranging from 3 to 5 people can honestly say we have never had a bad sandwich. I do quite often circle back to the best Roast Beef Sandwich ever, the Super Beef with cheese sauce and BBQ sauce. Think of an Arbys sandwich, but made fresh, with best quality Beef and a Sandwich the size of Kate Uptons Breast. Its a truly magical experience. What ever sandwich you go for, I promise you wont be disappointed.

Im not normally a sandwich person but my friend raved that I needed to try "Nerb" and so I entered with an open mind and mouth. Everything is made to order and the staff was quite friendly, which I enjoyed. Luckily we beat the lunch rush which is always a good sign of a great eatery when theres a huge line inside and out. My philly cheese steak was over stuffed and I devoured the first half in seconds! I forgot to grab salt/pepper to season my meat shavings but there is another half ready for me.. I highly suggest the homemade onion rings that I regret forgetting to order. I SAY YES TO NERB!

I cant speak for anything other than their thick clam chowder, wonderful roast beef sandwiches or world class french fries but I dont really have to as the praise for their food is abundant and for good reason; this place really does have some of the best roast beef and clam chowder around. However, they have a tendency (5 times out of 10) to mess up my order by either forgetting to include something or by making the sandwich wrong. If you call ahead CHECK YOUR ORDER before walking out the door and enjoying the deliciousness.

has something changed? Ive been going there for a couple of years now and these past 2 weeks were not good. Last week I got the cheeseburger platter and got 3 onion rings and a sea of very salty French fries. Today I got fish and chips to go. They did not use a to-go box, they piled the food ON TOP of the fork and packet of ketchup. The haddock was greasy. Out of lemons. And I specifically asked for half French fries and half onion rings and said I would pay more. I got 4 onion rings. It didnt used to be this way.

My coworkers and I have ordered there twice recently and we all h had stomach issues after eating the sandwiches. Perhaps being so hot lately that could explain a possible refrigeration or sanitation issue? There is no way to email management directly so thought they should know. Otherwise, they have wonderful sandwiches and sides!!

Chicken souvlaki and beef and cheese sandwich were awesome! You could tell the meat was very fresh, especially there chicken was large tender size chunks. The beer battered fries were hot and crispy. Overall just amazing food! It was $8.79 for each sandwich but you could easily split it between 2 people.

Ive been coming here for years! Lots of choices, something for everyone! Great add ons too, pickles, brownies to name just a few. Dont wait, if you like Roast Beef RARE! The best and consistent roast beef with a great BBQ sauce.

Best Sandwiches in Worcester! For the beef guys out their you can not go wrong with "The Assumption." Top it off with one of their giant pickles and you get a New York City quality deli sandwich in Central Massachusetts.

One of my favorite places to go to grab dinner tonight I tried the steak tip special it wasnt like steak tips it was more like petite tenderloins absolutely no fat cooked to perfection I highly recommend you try it

Amazing steak tips salad and my son says the buffalo chicken tenders is "6 Stars". Generous portions and great service. We just found a new Worcester favorite!
