Would give it 5 stars for excellent food but they lost 1 star for very poor service. The good: excellent unagi don (grilled eel over rice) -very soft and tender and full of flavor, but not at all greasy or overbearing. Just delicious and clean. Their spicy tuna stuffed mushrooms are really unique and absolutely yummy. The bad: Long wait to order at counter when there was only 1 couple before us... but register guy seemed busy w trivial (and slow) visits to other tables for reasons that couldve been done after our order was taken. Price seemed a bit steep compared to other Japanese/Korean restaurants (for ex, $20 for unagi don is more than I pay in NYC, where restaurants face much higher rents). Food was delicious but more pricey than it should be for what it is

First with the good. The fried oysters tasted great. Now the bad. For the portion, this place is on the expensive side. The service was shaky. Food came to my table at all different times and they forgot parts of the meal. The yaki udon was underwhelming. Having told you the good and bad, now I present the ugly. Do not get the Korean Ramen. For this dish, one pays $7.95 expecting real food but what do they serve? They serve cheap pre-packaged ramen adding hot water (obviously) and an egg. Thanks for putting an egg in this junk DENDEN, that makes it all better. Next time just take my $7.95 and give me nothing. While the location is good, and DENDEN might be a good place to work (comeplete with wifi and coffee bar), I would not come here for the food.

You need to know that you order at the counter, where they give you a number to take to your table. Nobody will tell you this, so now you know. That aside, the place is comfortable and cozy. We had the Bibimbap (I had the pork and my boyfriend had the beef), which was delicious. They give you the sauce in a small sauce dish and not the usual squirt bottle. It also had a lot of salad greens on top, which gave me pause. Bibimbap is one those foods that can be made many ways, so I went with it. And damn, it was delicious. This was my first time here and will not be my last. This is a great place for a date or a casual meal with friends.

Great value, superior service, and excellent food with fresh ingredients. In my party of 6, several of the dishes were delayed to the table because the Denden staff felt they had to remake 2 of them because it wasnt to their standard. The employee was very apologetic and offered several options as a consolation. The remade food didnt take long to come out at all, but we all appreciated how conscientious and sincere the restaurant was over what was actually a very minor inconvenience. The food was hot and fresh and tasted great! The vibe is modern and atmosphere is good. Second time coming here and would come back without hesitation!

Good food but need to fix overcharging: whoever was the cashier overcharged me by $1 for my bento. When I pointed it out he said the price went up. I said, no, you have to abide by the price on the menu (legally), so he handed me a dollar from the TIP JAR. He then overcharged my friend--who had heard our conversation--for the same bento and repeated the whole thing over again. Food might be good, but imagine if they are overcharging everybody without their knowledge! Please remedy, DenDen. Itd be a shame if I cant keep eating at your restaurant.

I thought the food was excellent and the staff are very friendly. I think they should consider full table service. The ordering is somewhat awkward because you cant have a tab. So my friend and I wanted a glass of wine to start so we paid for that, then we decided on dinner so we went and ordered that and paid for that. I wasnt sure if I should tip the regular 20% so I did. Other than that part it was delicious.

A small and very awesome Asian Cuisine. Mainly focus on Korean and Japanese Cuisine. The squid and pork belly bbq is one of the must try in Den Den Cafe. My personal favorite is the Kimbap, but the beverage menu need an upgrade. Chai was overpowering, green tea latte had too much green tea. They need to find a happy medium.

Excellent food! The first time I went I got a tuna tataki bento box, which was fantastic. This last time I got squid and pork chili barbecue, which was (somehow) even more fantastic. If youre a fan of pan-Asian, I think it would be difficult to order something thats *not* fantastic; DenDen comes highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere and I would call this Asian fusion restaurant + cafe. You can get a coffee when all other cafes are closed. The tofu kimchi is very disappointing as the sauce is so sweet and heavy! My whole clothes smell like kimchi. Other beef courses seem light. Order the right dishes are key here.

I have been here 3 times now. This last visit was a bit of a let down. The price has always been on the higher side. This time I felt the quality of the food was lacking and some of the dishes had been changed. I am not sure I would go back. The food quality definitely no longer matches the price.

Ive never had anything here that I didnt like. Dendens tofu stew and chicken karaage are the most notable but they also make a great hamburger steak and bibimbap. Everything tastes as good as it looks. Dan makes the best London Fog -- dont bother going elsewhere.

Not a bad spot if u long for Korean food. Food was pretty tasty (chilli squid and port belly) but I am not impressed. My coat smell of Korean food after the meal...perhapa the ventilation could be better. Go with the vegetarian bibimbab, which was pretty decent.

The was my first time trying Korean food, and I was impressed. Tried lots of different items, and the flavors were crazy good. One of my favorite dishes was the ramen, which had a really tasty broth. Very good

I have been going here since it opened last January and I have never been disappointed with any meal that I have gotten. My two favorites are the Spicy Pork BBQ and Spicy Pork Bimbibap. I highly recommend

Definitely a new favorite place to study. Wonderful service and relaxed environment. The service is deliberately amazing. The food is delicious and filling. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.

Best Korean food in the state of Rhode island, possibly also including the state of Massachusetts. Mark Zuckerberg goes here when hes in town. Kimbaps are good. As is the korean ramen as a compliment.

한국음식점이 있어서 반가웠습니다. 내입맛에는 좀 달았지만 김치가 있어서 너무 행복했어요.

Excellent service! Excellent food! Loved the Den Den Hot Stone Bibimbap! The best one I have eaten! If you are in the mood for a great tasting hot soup, order the Den Den Hot Pot Bulgogi Beef!
