When I arrived in the area I went shopping here as it popped up in my search for grocery stores. While its a pretty large store with plenty of selection, I wasnt too satisfied with my purchase after. Their produce was lacking and disorganized. The meat seemed past its fresh date and I ultimately threw out the chicken I bought. Their non-perishable selection was great, so that was helpful. Overall the prices were reasonable, they just do a poor job with their meat and produce sections.

Checked online re closing time. 11pm. Arrived at 10.42pm and they had closed already because they were doing the floors. You do the floors AFTER you have closed for the night, not BEFORE. Thats plain awful customer service. It might have suited the store better, but it was not the right thing to do when considering customers.

Make sure you ask them to check the dates on the deli meat and slad. They sell expired food to people and salads. Im trying to put a stop to that for the better health and safety of our customers that shop at shaws Middle Town RI.

Best all around grocery store on the island. Shaws has a large fairly large international section, but a small health food section for the size of the store. Produce is generally pretty good, and they have a good deli section.

Good store overall, its your typical chain grocery store with no real issues. I prefer Shaws over Stop & Shop on the island when it comes to certain things.
