I ordered a cake thru Groupon. The Groupon says the cake is regularly $40.00 which is what i usually pay but the Groupon price was $23.50 so when i called my order in i was told to write anything on the cake would be an extra $5. I wanted to know why since when i normally order cake its no extra charge for writing on the cake. The staff in this place are never consistent with any prices. I go to this store normally and overlook it but today they are losing loyal customer.

Id been meaning to check this place out so when they participated in the Baltimore Ave. dollar stroll I gave them a try. I bought two pieces of cake and they were both terrible. Totally flavorless. One was billed as "7-Up" flavor, and it just tasted like box cake from a grocery store. On top of this there were two people helping me. The younger woman was really friendly, but the older gentleman with her was just outright rude. Will never go back.

You must try Poundcake Heavens rainbow cake. I used them for my wifes birthday celebration and was initially nervous. However they exceeded my expectations and contributed to making my wifes birthday celebration a huge success. There service and products are right in line with their mantra "We take pride in going back to when grandmom and our moms used to bake!" You must try the rainbow cake!!!!!

The poundcakes from Poundcake Heaven are incredible. I had no clue there were a.) so many varieties of poundcake and b.) that poundcake could taste so good. And, they have a wide delivery area. If you find yourself in Philly area do yourself a favor and get one of their poundcakes. We ordered the butter and lemon poundcakes and they were brilliant.

The cakes are good, but the prices are a huge turnoff. Who would pay $5 for one slice of cake? I tried the strawberry shortcake simply because I wanted to see if it was possible for a cake to be worth $40. The cake was pretty good, but not 4xs better than what I could find in a grocery store.

Coconut cake keeps me coming back! The same exact cake just didnt taste the same, honestly, when purchased from their food truck in Univ. City but at the brick & mortar location in Yeadon, its delicious. Too bad its so out of my normal commuting route or Id be more of a regular customer.

Black owned family bakery. Their West Phila address is 53rd St and Florence Ave. (June 2017). Have bought two luscious cakes so far, for birthday and graduation. They were willing to make one cake non-dairy. Lovely home-style cake place.
