I wish I was able to give this awful place zero stars as this was one of the rudest experiences I have ever had from a restaurant, and we didnt even get seated!!! Yes, that is right, we did not even get a chance to be seated. We asked the hostess for patio dinning, which was a mistake as we got a disgusted face for even suggesting it. She advised we will prepare a table and it should be ready in a few minutes. We said ok and she proceed to turn her back to us and notify the bus boy/waiter/host that we wanted to sit outside. We thought nothing of this at that time in till, two parties came in after us. Both parties wanted outside seating as well how ever the first parted was denied and sat near the bar, the second party was quickly escorted out side and seated at a table. This concerned us as we were their first. We approached the hosted, I quickly ask to see a manager as I felt we were unfairly treated. I also asked if those people had reservations and was advised by the hostess that they did not and that the bus boy/waiter/host got the parties mixed up. This bus boy/waiter/host, approached the hostess station and again we quickly had their backs to us as the hostess whispered in to his ear that I wanted to see a manager. The manager arrived with in a minute, mind you that this bus boy/waiter/host gave us the dirtiest look the entire time. As I advised the manager of the situation, the bus boy/waiter/host was quickly to jump in and say they had a reservation. I said well we were told other wise. I expressed to the manager I will under no circumstance come back to this Bravo or any Bravo due to the experience we just had. I refuse to give this type of establishment any part of my hard earned money!!! No one should be treated like that. If seating was not available, we should have been advised of such. We should not have been discarded! I will advise all friends and family members to NEVER go to Bravos, EVER!

A Bite-and-Switch. We choose Bravo Cucina over a dozen other choices in Homestead because of the Happy Hour drink and appetizer specials promoted online. It should be clear to all walking in that this restaurants corporate strategy is to use specials as bait to get customers inside, where the specials are only available in the tiny bar, then have you pay through the nose for good service and bad Italian. We spent $86 for 3 appetizers, 4 drinks, and tip. We wouldve paid about $40 for roughly the same thing, a few steps away. Heres how their game played out: 1) Arriving, Id estimate half the customers were jammed into the bar space, basically two 6x20 corridors on each side of the bar itself. These people refused to play the game below - all the while competing for real estate with servers, who were trying to pick up drinks for their tables. 2) Letting us assess the chaos for ourselves, a hostess then offered one of many open tables in the spacious ~6,000 square foot dining section. 3) It being a sunny summer 6 pm, we asked to sit on the wrap-around patio (where specials, "normally," would also apply). "Its closed because of the weather." 4) Now seated at a table, I asked a manager over. She fauxpologized, as we restaurant folks are trained to. She too referenced the possibility of bad weather, and that she was too understaffed to open the patio. She said the specials are to generate sagging bar sales. And she gave a smile that to me means, "Of course Im lying to you. All is going according to plan."

Bravos... The Waterfront is a great place to host a 50th wedding anniversary! I had my doubts at first, as there is no private banquet room at this particular location, but after working with the General Manager and his staff, the private room seemed somewhat unnecessary. I felt like a valued customer throughout the planning process. Questions (some of them dumb) were answered diligently, provisions were made to accommodate special requests, (i.e. a childrens menu, a gluten-free meal, bringing in our own cake, setting up a couple of display tables, setting up a couple of coat racks, etc.), and tables were reconfigured to accommodate our changing numbers. Nice. On the day of the event, we arrived early to set up a few balloons and distribute party favors. An area of the restaurant had already been sectioned off for us, and the tables set and ready to go. The Manager introduced herself as soon as we came in, and let us know that although she was not the one with whom I had been communicating over the past few weeks, she was up to speed with the details of our reservation, and was there for us. She proved true to her word. The servers were accommodating and very much on the ball, not to mention extremely friendly; and the food was well prepared and delicious. It was a nice feeling to look around and see smiles on the faces of our guests. Thank you for your contribution to an awesome evening, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, The Waterfront :-)

My family of 5 had our grandsons birthday dinner there. We were disappointed because both he and my son ordered the filet, most expensive. The steaks were very over cooked. They both asked for medium rare. One was med well done other was very thin and really well done. Mashed potatoes were cold, one didnt get vegetable. Our waiter finally came to ask if all was ok. We showed steaks, etc. He said it will take awhile but I can see what can be done, we all had a movie planned, since the food came at different times we had to leave. No dessert. He handed us a bill for 176.00 I just had a side dish of pasta not feeling well. No bar drinks. Two beverages ice tea. I left and will never go back. Other restaurants would at adjusted our check. Our waiter was so slow. I cant believe my kind husband still gave him a 20% tip. I have eaten there many times, never got service or food so awful. This was the Waterfront, Homestead, PA.

Went today and was excited to try it out with friends. It wasnt very busy and yet there was still a very long wait to be seated, to get our beverage order taken, for food.... EVERYTHING was waiting. The young waitress forgot our order and seemed a bit disconnected from her job. We spoke to a manager after receiving tiny salads,(which all of it was iceberg lettuce) warm soup, burnt food, no napkins and MORE waiting. She was very kind and replaced some of the bad food and we were offered free cake of our choice for all the trouble. Well, I got the "cake" home and it winded up being a round lump of half baked cake batter! The middle of this so called chocolate cake was runny so I popped it in my microwave to see what would happen and lo and behold, it baked!! I will NEVER go back to that restaurant. Hope they get their stuff together!! Sad..Sad..Sad.

The faux Italian look and feel is pretty darn faux. They put paper over top of their table linens too. The service was okay, but especially since I ate at a slow time, I had hoped for a little more individualized attention. Considering the decor and service was less than spectacular, I was happily surprised by the food with the exception of the bread. My dinner and dessert were very good.
