Really seems like a family owned restaurant. Decor isnt amazing but the food and service was great. Their marinara sauce sticks out in my mind as being particularly good. Not sure if it was the owner or manager but he was super friendly and outgoing. The type of place that will get to know you by name if you go enough. Also, they say kid friendly which was mixed. They loved to have kids and very friendly and accommodating about it but there was no specific kids menu. However, its not a problem if your kids love pasta.

The Worst restaurant that i worked in when it comes to hygiene. Many of the servers , especially the older ones were not washing their hands after discarding the dirty dishes!!!! Some of the food was good some not, but that up to somebodys taste...Management used a bulling attitude towards those who did not please them ! And one time manager Molly served alcohol to a underage person !!! For health safety issues alone I would recommend to stay away !!! PS : food is way overpriced!!!

Im not sure why this is voted the best Italian place in Pittsburgh - I could go and grab a frozen dinner from Giant Eagle for a fraction of the price and have it be better than this was. Go to Piccolo Forno in Lawrenceville or Girasole in Shadyside...might be a little more but its worth it to have FRESH GOOD food. Oh, and the salads came out with plastic wrap on them - meaning they have been sitting in a refrigerator for who knows how long...

June 24, 2017, I brought 19 ROAMING, LOUD MOUTH. LAUGHING 1968 PEABODY GRADS FOR a Mini-Reunion for dinner. We were greeted and welcomed graciously by the entire staff. As the evening went forward I know we drove them Nuts but they were all smiles Not one complaint from our group and the food was delicious. Thank you again for making our reunion special. I ordered from Alexanders yesterday and it was the worst meal Ive had in a long time. The Caesar salad was swimming in dressing, the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli was horrible. The broccoli was yellow , not one piece was cooked or green and the Alfredo sauce had no flavor and had the consistency of curdled milk. Go Any place but here !

Went here for a rehearsal dinner. They have classic Italian food that is pretty delicious. The couple rented out the bottom room and it was accommodating and pretty. The bartender for us and very quick and nice. Definitely worth a trip to this restaurant. The whole place is welcoming and the appetizers were even better than the main course.

Discovered this place upon Uber eats deliveries. I placed three orders In which I asked that my meal had no bacon. I received my meal which had bacon, called and immediately was told I would get a new order. All three meals were excellent and once I got my replacement meal I received desert as a bonus. Truly good food and great service!

The food is divine...the wait staff is disgruntled. Felt like I was a bother to be waited on...the ladies room floor was sticky. My advice is to pee before you get there and be ready to smile at the waitresses there because they are not happy to take care of you, BUT if you can get through all that, the food was out of this world.

Great food. Not super fancy but service was good. The kitchen door was loud as it swung open and shut, so try to sit away from the kitchen. I had goat cheese ravioli and it was soooooo good. Everyone was happy with their meal. We brought our own wine and paid a corkage fee.

Sorry it was disgusting. Veal Piccata was actually soggy. Asparagus appetizer was way overcooked and doused in sauce to hide it. Place was dirty. Waiter was very inattentive despite it being a super slow Sunday we were like his only table. Maybe the dishwasher was cooking.

Ordered chicken Marsala and it was inedible. The angel hair was swimming in what I can only liken to canned beef broth. The mushrooms were obviously canned. After hearing rave reviews Im thoroughly disappointed.
