Wednesday 3/9/2016 We have this rating because of the following: The diner on the booth side was full, which is not huge. That was no problem. We were seated I. The dining room which was empty besides one other table of two people. We had 3 people in our party. The couple that was in there already were extremely aggravated! We were like oh great thats not a good sign. We stayed anyway. One of us ordered a turkey club on crossiant. One ordered a burger and cup of soup. Which both meals came with a bag of chips and a pickle spear. The last was a cup of soup and creamed chipped beef over toast with home fries with EXTRA ONIONS. We waited 50 minutes to be served. Then there were NO onions at all in the home fries. The soup was good but not hot it was less than room temperature. They were told about no onions in he home fries at all when the order was placed with extra. The waitress kept apologizing about the wait. Over and over again to any other customer in the diner. She said they were jam packed. They absolutely were not and this was at 2pm in the afternoon. There were a lot of empty tables. And other than the soup the food was less than adequate. If a chef cant handle a 1/4 full diner they need a new chef. As well as one that can cook. We will never go back.

My husband and I had dinner at the beacon diner on saturday 9/7/13. My husband had the seafood diablo and I had the seafood pescatore.The meals were 16.95 each. We also each had a bowl of french onion soup. The dining room did not appear that busy but we waited a long time for our soup. In fact we waited so long that we had not finished or soup when our entree arrived. We both had a pasta meal but for 16.95 each you would think they would come with a vegetable but they did not. The meal was okay at best. I probably could have made it just as good at home. The waitress also was okay but not great. I also ended up waiting a few minutes for my check after I had finished my meal. We live locally but needless to say we wont be returning or recommending it to any of our friends.

Worst place ever I will never go there even if you paid me. The food was cold the stuffing was green seriously, dont even get me started on my waitress Marcy I think her name was she was rude sarcastic and uncaring she shrugged off any of my concerns the pie was hard on top soggy on bottom and watery then what got me was when I told her about it she went over to another waitress and they giggled and stared over at us then my bill was double charged Marcy gave me an attitude and said there was nothing she could do about it, mind you Im on vacation but word is that place is going down hill especially with food but yet they are charging more for things. Dont go there at least if you dont want to be yelled at by your waitress and doubled charged for green stuffing

food was normal diner food. got the bacon and bleu burger and it had feta on it. not worth sending it back. Also my daughter ordered her burger well done and it was pink enough for her to stop eating it. what a shame for simple menu items. also the waitress brought our check without all of our food even being on the table. Guess we werent allowed to order coffee or desserts. place wasnt packed so there was No reason to be rushed out. geez.

Good food, service sucked. We got three different reasons why our food took an hour to come out. First it was the pork chop was thick (in the end it still wasnt fully cooked), second it was because of a large party ahead of us, and third it was because of the seafood (which was a joke cause my boyfriend only got 3 scallops and 3 shrimp in it). Make up your mind! Not going there again... shouldve gone to mcdonalds

Poorly run. No one told our server we were sat in the dining room so took a little for her to greet us. She was nice but we barely saw her. Had to ask another server for another drink because ours was nowhere to be found. Last time we were here (months ago) it was the same thing, took almost 10 minutes to be greeted. I thought Id give it another shot but it was the same, I dont think we will be returning.

We came to eat there the waitress was great the owner not do much she shut the lights off after we waited an hour for our food and told us the restaurant was closed she had a very poor excuse for yelling at the patrons we eventually got our food thanks to our waitress and the food was horrible we refused to pay and left I will never go there again and warn any potential diners don't waste ur money!!

Ate lunch in Hometown Beacon yesterday. The place was crowded due to the auction. Waited about 45 minutes to be served. Mediocre food at best. I had stopped for breakfast at the Lehighton Beacon six months ago - same kind of service. Was ready to leave when served. Dont go there unless youre ready to spend a few hours. Not worth it.

We arent from this area (we live about an hour and 20 minutes from here). We stopped and ordered the sauerbraten with potato cakes and red cabbage with raisins and bacon dressing. It was delicious!! It was so good that on our way back home hours later, we ordered it again for supper!!! Nice atmosphere and friendly people.

Waited over 30 minutes for a burger and a wrap and fries still werent done. Felt very rapey. In serious need of renovation. Wait staff may not have had a full mouth of teeth between them and all they did was argue and complain to eachother. Was still hungry when we left so we went across to McDonalds.

Been going her since I was a kid. I moved out of the area but every time I come back to visit I always have to stop for a meal. The Taylors are wonderful people. My favorite is the turkey club because they still use real turkey and not turkey lunch meat. Oh and the rice pudding, yummy!

Most of the time the food is decent. Once in a while weve received meals that tastes like the fryer oil hadnt been changed in too long. But thats classic diner food I guess? The decor is dated, could use a facelift. I hear they have great cocktails.

I felt the food was a bit overpriced. We had burgers and cheesesteak...also took a bit for our food to arrive despite not being busy. That being said everything was yummy, and our server was very friendly and attentive! The place is clean too!

Waited for nearly a hour to get my food. There was barely any customers in the diner so there was no reason to take forever for a burger and fries. Wait staff was rude and basically useless. Dont talk about your drama around the customers.

Waited one hr and still no food. They said it would be at least another half hr or more. We left and we will never go there on a Sunday again. They need another cook. Watress are very nice.
