So, our family frequents Sarah Street for dinners, live music, and even order lunch from work on a weekly basis...that being said, we experienced the most disrespectful and flat out lack of care from the female manager last night. After going in, waiting for the band that was late due to car trouble, and my boyfriend helping them load their equipment in, some thieving jerk decided to steal his coat that had our keys in it. Now, the bar cannot control that, but the behavior and reaction of the female manager was the worst I have ever experienced in any human. I wish I knew her name as I would personally call her out. She did not care at all and was rude...even told my boyfriend "you shouldnt have got so drunk" when we may have had some drinks but were completely in control enough to talk to AAA, a cab company, every person and staff member in the place, and search the entire place ON OUR OWN for his coat and our keys. The band was awesome enough to let us sit in their van and wait for AAA as it was the end of the night...mind you it was 20 degrees last night and he had no coat!! Obviously being that cold, the band decided to go back in(they had car trouble and were towed there), so we walked with them. This bit** let everyone of them back in the bar to sit, but told us we had to wait outside(no coat and 20 degrees) and proceeded to say it wasnt her fault and she didnt care. We were not asking to stay in the bar, only stand in the little foyer to stay warm. Let me tell you, after standing outside for 30 minutes waiting for AAA and a cab, you truly learn how valuable a coat and some human kindness really are...Sarah Street, your manager last night lacks the most important human qualities and should really take some time to evaluate herself as should you for employing her. With her rude attitude, complete lack of compassion, poor customer service, and most absurd comments to customers that I have ever experienced, I will make sure that I tell everyone about it and NEVER go back and make sure that our family never does for any event and would rather hand my money out to strangers than spend a penny in this establishment. Shame on you for having such poor decisions in who you hire with no qualities of customer service!! People, watch your belongings and I pray you never have to rely on her for anything as she is a worthless and complete waste of a human being.

This used to be my favorite spot in the Burg until last night. While trying to help the band, Mochester, (amazing!!!) bring their equipment in bc they were running late bc of a breakdown, my Northface jacket was stolen w my keys in it. The female Manager there gave me the worst customer experience I have ever received anywhere in the world. It was subzero temperatures and she had zero empathy. While telling us, "maybe you shouldnt have gotten so drunk" and kicking us outside into way below freezing temperatures bc it was the end of the night, she had zero empathy or gratitude for what I had done in the process of getting my jacket stolen and didnt even allow us to wait inside until our cab came. I waited outside in the freezing cold for over 20 minutes w no jacket. Unfortunately, they lost a lifetime customer last night bc of this woman manager. My family has gone here to meet for family events for decades too. Now, we will not return until verification that she is FIRED and I will make sure on every review source possible that the horrible experience we had as a loyal customer for 20+ years is known!!!! Ive never been treated so badly EVER and I will make it known and boycott this place until the owner Dave removes her from the staff.

The atmosphere is more of a party bar type atmosphere yet the food and the food prices are more of a higher classed restaurant. The place was packed on the Thursday when I was there. There was a Hillbilly band playing and many people standing around the stage. The only seat I could get was across from the bar in the corner where I kept getting moved by the busboy who had to constantly get in the closet behind me or people getting a token for the pool table out of the token machine. It took about 10 mins to get waited on. My first drink was a tall Capt and coke. I never had the same waitress twice and the second waitress brought me a double Capt and coke which I did not realize until I noticed the additional charge on the bill. The GM Gerald was very nice and waited on me a couple times. I ordered the Chicken alfredo which was a lot of food (more than I could eat) and was very good but cost $14 a plate and came with no bread or salad. Parking was difficult because the place was so busy I drove around 3 times, until someone left, before I could find a spot. The staff seemed very nice and the food was good so I rated it a 3.

Went here for a light afternoon lunch on a Friday. Very dim inside-especially coming from outside suddenly. The waitress seemed okay in the beginning but the food took over twenty minutes and it was not busy at all. We got a wrap and a Reuben-which should take less than fifteen minutes. (Ten minutes minimum) The server finally came out with the food and gave us what we needed after asking for it twice already. We waited about another twenty to twenty five minutes before she came over to check on us again. Two other tables came in, just a four top and two top, tried to cut her some slack for that but then I realized that there was another server helping her with the tables. Guess she was too busy with her other tables and putting glasses away on the shelf or something. Worried about everything else besides us. Anyway, she was quick to get paid but will probably never go back. Its more of a bar, night-life college scene. Not necessarily a place to have a meal. The choice is yours though if you want incompetent service.

I brought my family to Stroudsburg for a couple days vacation. We always enjoy trying local restaurants. Sarahs Street Grill had some decent reviews so we thought wed give it a try. There were 9 of us and we sat outside on the patio. For the most part things were good. It did take over an hour for our meals to arrive and one meal took even longer. Our server did not stop back after our meals were served to see if things were okay. When we were finished dinner I had to ask a different server if we could get our bill. Our server did not even show up then to ask about coffee or dessert. Someone else dropped our bill off. I guess I should have heeded previous reviews about service time. I spent quite a bit of money for dinner and did not feel that the service sufficed our needs.

Some of the food is really good, some of its just all right. Sometimes the musics good and sometimes its really bad, but be prepared to pay a cover for it 5 nights a week whether you like what youre hearing or not. Most of my friends go here a lot so Im often stuck paying a cover for really bad music just to see my friends. A lot of people dislike this but honestly its one of the only decent places to go in the area that isnt super overpriced (though its not cheap either), so you kind of feel like you have no choice but to go here. It will stay packed for this reason until someone opens up another nice looking place with decent food and drink and reasonable prices but no cover all the time - when that happens - and it will, sarah st will find itself with a lot more room.
