Here is my complete review about this place. First of all , when we walk in the whole place is empty on thuresday night, so we get seated quickly . Those waitress were really bad in english, first thing they asked was " what do you want to drink? They dont smile at you , they act like they dont wanna be there . A restuarant suppose to be quiete and chill , but instead they were playing some loud chinese music in the background totally ruined the mood. It was my friends birthday that night , so they did the usually japanese style bring out a fried icecream cake with candles on. There was this random dude mid 20s came out hitng the drum then everyone sings happy birthday to my friend . It was okay . Then he started to cracking corny joke , he goes " Are you 21? oh you just turned 21 tonight . we were like come on wtf , were all mid 30s . His joke was very very boring. At the end we found out hes the owner of Ichiban. Let talk about the foods, The sushi chef he doesnt wear glove make our sashimi for some reason it was so disguesting. We asked him questions about sushi , but he seems so confused and lost due to language barrier. All we heard is un huh un huh. Next is soda, most restuarant offers free refill or charge for refill thats understandable . We ran out of soda, the waitress didnt say it refill cost extra money , it was only 1.50 its not even about the money. They have to know customer know that in advance. Our Hibachi chef was entertaining , he did the trick and volcanos on the grill . Overall the whole place need some serious management.

Linda was really nice but she wasnt our waitress. We had a waitress who was friendly enough, but... I didnt get the satisfaction I wanted from her service. I asked her a couple of questions, and she didnt know what to do to make my meals as a combo deal. Not only that, I believe I asked her for recommendations, and she couldnt help me with that either. Ive never been to a Japanese Steakhouse before, so I was hoping that she could have helped me figure it out. Nope. No clue. I love that there were fishes for my son to look at. He had a great time looking around. My husband ordered chicken teriyaki and I ended getting some sort of broth soup with Kani. Our food was all right. It was decent enough to eat, but it wasnt all that fantastic for the price. Soda tasted awful. I dont know what happened there. Overall, Im giving the restaurant three stars. The best I can do.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on 11/13/09, we were seated quickly and served drinks. When it came time to order we asked to share a combo Hibachi dinner. The waitress said we "do not allow sharing" . I explained that my wife had gastric bypass surgery and that i would leave if no sharing was allowed. A check with the Manager by the waitress lead to the same reply. My wife and i departed, on the way out i asked again for the manager and she reconfirmed no sharing. My wife a I have never been question before about sharing even at anothe Japanese Hibachi restaurant in the Poconos. We under stand a plater charge and would habe been willing to pay it. In fact I was planning to order a sushi appetizer or a soup but this never came up. This is no way to run a restaurant. There food may be amazing but for us the servive and treatment we recieved was sub standard.

Well...I never got to try the place but I can tell you the people are awful. My wife and son and I were at a hibatchi table with another party of four. My wife ordered sushi and my clearly autistic son (who wont touch anything but noodles in most places) a side of noodles. I ordered hibatchi chicken. The waitress left...then the manager told us that not enough of us ordered hibatchi. Nevermind they had to turn the grill on for the other four people at the table. Awful people and obviously not customer focused or autism friendly.

My husband and I went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place was empty, but we still had amazing service. We did the hibachi and our chef was friendly and easy to talk to, plus he had great skills. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful! This was the second time that wed come to this place, and we didnt do hibachi the first time. I enjoyed the hibachi better than the dining room service. It was a lot of fun, even for just the two of us!

Took 15 mins to even see a server. When just about to leave she arrives to take our drink order and asks for our food order abruptly. Another 14 minutes later comes our soup and salad (still no drinks/wine). Then when we snagged our server and told her, she did get our wine a few minutes after that. But no stall on the bill though. It arrived 14 minutes after our wine with no offer of a second glass. Sushi was ok but wont come back.

The food is always delicious. The servers are always attentive. I wish the bathrooms were maintained a little better. Im always a little put off when the floors are sticky. If youre looking for a quick inexpensive bite, this is not the place. Sit back and enjoy the hibachi show or dine in the non-hibachi seating area in comfort. Expect to pay at least $20/adult either way.

Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Prompt and fast, great care for attention to detail. Our chef was awesome and very interactive. The staff was very curtiuos. Even when I pointed out an allergy mistake, the acted quickly and professionally to correct the problem. I would highly recommend them for a great family dining experience.

There were 4 of us on a Sunday afternoon. Seated very quickly. Soup & salad that was served was good. I had some sushi. Very fresh & yummy. The only complaint I have is the fact that that put sesame seeds in the rice. Over all great experience & will dine again for sure. About $120.00 for four ppl with alcoholic drinks. =)

What a shame. Very good food but table service sucked. One waitress for 12 tables. Got salad, soup & appetizer before drinks which were only soda & water. People next to us never got their drinks or half their order and had to ask for their check to be adjusted. Service very slow and inconsistent. We will not return.

Very disappointed in the Hibachi, was really looking forward to the shrimp hibachi. They didnt even remove the tails from shrimp that were covered in sauce. My husband had sushi which fell apart when touched because it was poorly rolled, did not taste great and they brought him the wrong rolls. .. not impressed

The hibachi is amazing! It has a great atmosphere and the food is delicious - my husband who is very picky also enjoys the food there. However, Sushi there is not worth getting. I couldnt even finish mine, it fell apart and had a distinct "taste" to it.... Hibachi 5 Stars!!! Sushi.... 0 Stars

Mediocre at best. I frequent these types of restaurants near home and this place is lacking. Soup has no flavor. Chef prepared fried noodles, shrimp and vegetables with heavy teryiaki sauce. Pricing doesnt match up with quality of experience.
