The Kind Cafe in Selinsgrove, PA is for sure a sweet spot. My wife & I recently moved to the area from Dallas, TX (where Starbucks is literally on every corner). To put it in short terms: we love this place. Heres why: 1. Art is highly valued here as it features unique and for-sale art all over the cafe. 2. Its owned locally and supports small business. 3. They have such an assortment of items to eat and drink its hard not to find something to like. 4. The sandwiches made here are some of THE best sandwiches we have ever eaten. 5. The prices are good - for a top quality sandwich youd pay between 6 & 7 dollars which includes chips and dill slice. 6. The coffee is comparable in taste to Starbucks. 7. The cafe offers free Wi-Fi & is cozy. Come here to at least try it. You wont be disappointed. The one con I can think of is that they are not open most evenings, which makes coming here to relax at night difficult. Give them some business...and this might change.

Given that I live in Maryland, it is interesting that my favourite coffee shop is in the middle of PA, but as we drive up to Canada a few times a year, we make sure to stop by. As something of a latte aficionado I take exception to another reviewers comparison of this place to Starbucks, since the coffee is a lot better. Service is a bit cool and hip (smile barista kids, its OK) but the whole place is really great. Nice to sit out on the patio when traveling with the dogs and enjoy a great sandwich and a mug of revivifying and delicious java.

Love this place for many reasons! 1. A small yet nice addition, the prices are made so that it includes tax, this leads to having items that dont have change, dollar amount only. 2. The staff and owner are friendly and the atmosphere and style of this cozy cave makes your meal super enjoyable 3. The food is great! The Beggle Sammy, breakfast wrap, and Caesar wrap are my personal favorites. Some items come with sides too. Call ahead to ensure there isnt a wait!! It gets busy, try it out, you wont be disappointed.!

My friend Birgit and I stopped to have lunch here on Oct. 4th. Our first visit. We will be back! The menu is good, the food is delicious and I was delighted that the Thai Curry soup was VEGETARIAN! Thanks for that! It was one of the best soups Ive ever had in a restaurant. Both Samantha and Glen(n) provided quick, friendly service. 5 star rating.

I live in a cofee mountain area in Mexico and The kind Cafe has been the only place where i have found the taste of real cofee again. The coffe shop is really cozy to spend hours of joyfull reading and the material for kids is pretty good, plus, the food have the Italian original touch. Great experience every time i go alone or my family.

Wonderful go to place to work and read. If you do not have a book, the cafe has a selection of books and games in the back area just up the stairs. The food is delicious and the atmosphere can not be beat. Great place for the young and old. Bring friends, do study groups, or just enjoy by yourself. I always love coming here.

DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK! My designer and I sat here for 4 hours to edit a book we are writing. The staff was great and atmosphere peaceful! So many cafes have such loud music that you cant even concentrate, but Kind Cafe was great!

This place is laid back and hip. It kind of felt like having a coffee at that hipster friend of yours house. There was even a group playing a board game at the table next to us. The chai late was great.
