My family and I wanted to try something different ... We love supporting local South Philly restaurants. We decided to try Cafe Yenz. We absolutely loved it! My daughter (6 years old) ordered the half roasted chicken....Delish! I had the shrimp tacos.....splendid! My husband ordered the fish tacos..... Yummo! We loved it so much we came back a few days later with my oldest daughter for Taco Tuesday! Wonderful again! Always ask for the soup of the day..... Both times it was a party in our tummy. So warming and true comfort food. The staff was attentive, pleasant and delightful. By far some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine in the city. No fuss no muss kind of place....: quaint and cute and great food...what more can you ago for... Highly recommend this local restaurant to add to your rotation of wonderful South Philly places to try.

Love this place. I often bring my family and friends that visit philly to this spot because of the relaxed, fun vibe throughout the whole place. Its small but never feels too crowded (even on cinco de mayo). They make delicious mixers for those, including myself, who decide to bring their own tequila. The blood orange is the best one Ive tried so far. The staff is knowledgeable about menu options and very friendly. I like how they have vegetarian options that are actually tasty. They maintain the Mexican flair while they are completely meat free. Ive never had a bad experience at Cafe Ynez. Its a quieter, smaller setting than most of the other Mexican restaurants Ive tried in philly, but a great place to go for a night out with friends.

When my friends suggested getting brunch at Cafe Ynez I was initially skeptical since I had walked by the spot many times and didnt expect much. I was blown away when I got inside. The restaurant is well decorated and very inviting with pop Latino music setting the mood in the background. The servers are very attentive and assure that even the little details of you experience are perfect. The menu has a lot of great options and has many vegetarian options for those interested. You can get a lot of food for a great price, their breakfast burritos are delicious!

Visited for the first time after my daughters mma training. Staff was welcoming, paitainced, and we had a question about something on the menu they would explain it. My wife order the chicken... that was to die for made right, delicious I literally stop eating what I had ordered myself to eat the chicken. Soft tacos are good too, but you want the best experience definitely try the chicken.

We came here with a large group of 16 people for a bachelorette. I spoke to the manager ahead of time and arranged a pre-fixe menu for the group. They had multiple affordable options. The night of, everything was executed flawlessly. The food was delicious and the servers made us feel comfortable and at ease despite being such a large group. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

I dont get it, maybe I am too Hispanic This place doesnt serve tradicional Mexican food. If you dont care about that then you might like the food, which is no bad, but did not meet my expectations on flavor or presentation. There are definitely better options in South Philly

Have eaten here many times. Small, cozy. Food is fresh and service is excellent. Prices are good. People are friendly, decor is pleasing. Was a little warm inside (very hot day in Philly yesterday) but not too bad. Will be back!

Lovely refined but not pretentious Mexican. Much of the menu is cooked to order. Weve been for brunch and diner and will definitely be back. The staff is warm and attentive.
