I bought breakfast to go for my husband and I. We live a minute from the restaurant, so it was a convenience, or so I thought. We started eating and my husband picked up a piece of bacon and there was a short black hair on it!!! We both felt sick just knowing there was another persons hair in our food! The bacon was on top of the eggs and potatoes and under the toast! Neither one of us wanted to eat and I wanted my money back. I called the restaurant an older woman answered and I told her what happened and that I would bring all the food back in, we barely touched it when we found the hair, she offered to refund the price of AN ORDER OF BACON! I WAS PISSED AND NOW INSULTED! A few days later, after I cooled off, I called the restaurant and the man who answered said he was the owner. I told him what happened, he only wanted to comp me a meal. A free meal was the last thing I wanted, I already paid for 2 meals that we couldnt eat!! This place still owes me money, too bad I didnt pay with my credit card, I would have dropped the food off on the counter then disputed the charge!

Usually Excellent Food! Ive had breakfast, sandwiches, & Alot of the dinners. My favorites are the stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage. ALTHOUGH, I just got the stuffed peppers to go & I dont know what happened with them this -time. The peppers were RAW! I also got the cooked carrots as a side. & had asked if they were soft. I was told yes. , However, they were not. I also ordered the chicken orzo soup, which is the best!! ,But this too, was not like their usual quality. The orzo was so overcooked, it was so mushy, almost like "baby food" consistently. I have no idea why everything I ordered was not like the usual excellent qyality, this time. Maybe they were just having an off day. S#$%*! Happens! I plan on speaking to the owner about this. & I will still continue to dine at this usually exceptional family restaurant. Im not going to hold one bad experience against several great dining experiences here. Im sure the owner will be fair in correcting the "unusual" rare mishap with one dinner! Otherwise I give Louis s 5+ stars;!!!

Place to go for Sunday breakfast. Waitresses are friendly they get a lot of repeat customers. Portions are good size. But this is simple diner food so if youre looking for something elaborate look elsewhere. They do not take reservations and bad timing can lead to short wait on Sunday mornings

Ive never had a waitress be so rude to us, it was as if our business was unwanted their. In addition their food was drowning in subpar gravy that lacked everything but an entire days daily value of salt. Will never go back.

For a delicious experience, get Toms Atomic Bomb! Home fries, onions, peppers, and corned beef topped with eggs. Wonderful! Nice diner environment and great, quick service with a smile. Overpriced eggs, but thats standard
