I went to this restaurant a week ago with my family. We wanted to sit on the patio but the hostess said that we would have to wait because she had just sat all of her servers. She said that it would be a 15 minute wait. We waited and nothing was being done, so my group went inside. There was 7 people in our party and we were told that we would have to sit with 3 people at one table then 4 at another. We looked around and other tables had been pushed together. We were told that when we went in that the kitchen was slow. It took 30 minutes just to get salads and 1 hour for our meals. The server never came to check on us to see how we were doing during this long wait. When we got our food it was cold and had no flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy waiting for sub par food.

My wife and have gone here several times and we have enjoyed our dinner/experience everytime. The restaurant is located in such a nice setting that seems like its in the middle of nowhere, yet it is only 5 minutes from the center of Reading and the Pagoda. We both love the outdoor sitting, stream and pond surrounding the place, pirate theme, and service. The food has absolutely been amazing everytime we went and we have to say that the Wednesday Lobster nights are our favorites. The dinner is only 15 bucks and you get 2 sides and a salad with your lobster! You cant beat that. We even went on their busiest night and were seated very quickly. I would definately recommend the Mountain Springs Restaurant to anyone who enjoys a good night out with some great food and service!

Where should I begin.....Beautiful atmosphere however the service doesnt keep up with the surrounding. I bartend for a living and my standards are set very high when I dine out! It took 3 bartenders to do what I do. However, about 10-12 people at the bar...my bottle of beer after it was empty and I set it in plain view was overlooked by all 3 bartenders. My husband asked them if I could have another after we waited 15 minutes just to see if they were paying attention. Nope!! Didnt even ask if we liked our appetizer let alone we had to get up and grab our own utensils to eat. You can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink. I wish I had more hands...Id give Captains Cove 4 thumbs down!!!!

We go here several times each year. Things seem to get worse each time. The setting is awesome. The service was very slow. Getting a drink took forever. The food was okay; my sandwich was missing ingredients listed on the menu, and was dry. The prices are a bit high for what you get. Skip the Bucket drinks; $12 for a normal drink thrown in a small bucket of ice. And, the upcharge for the small offering of fries is ridiculous, since over half of my plate was chips. We like this place, more so for the environment than anything else. I hope they can get their act together and get back to quality service and food again!

(Review for the Outdoor Cove Restaurant) Went on Thursday for the burger night. Basically its 6 bucks for a burger (extra for toppings) and bottomless fries. The burger was ok, kinda small, nothing special but not awful. Ive had better from a place like Five Guys. The first plate of fries were really good but the subsequent plates were noticeably undercooked. Also, two of the four burgers in my party came out with the wrong toppings. On the plus side the scenery is nice as is the 80s Yacht Rock. Also, it was only 6 dollars a pop.

Exceptional Food and Excellent Service, Awesome Environment and fair price - all tucked away in the beautiful, quaint little town of Oley. 5 of us went for a bike ride today with CC as the destination. Steamers & Brushetta were the apps - the BEST weve ever had! Followed by classic cheese burgers, double burgers yet and they were Fantabulous!! Well worth the drive from Upper Bucks and our friends from Lower Bucks counties. Keep up the great work, we shall return!!

The atmosphere there was great! The place wasnt very busy so the employees let us walk around and find ourselves a table, and even let us go outside despite it being rainy. The rest of my party didnt get there until a lot later and our waitress didnt seem to mind at all. I eventually ordered and had the steak salad. It was good, but not seasoned like the other steak salad Ive had. I definitely recommend the fries.

As a newbie at the Cove we had a great time and the service with Erica was superb! Erica was extremely friendly, precise, and cheerful. The atmosphere was pleasant, the drinks and the food were very good... You can indoors or out at the cabana area which is spacey with some cool pirate decor. Prices are budget friendly, so it wont be a bank breaker! Overall, we will definitely return to the Cove! Cheers mate!

I really enjoy the outdoor atmosphere at Captains Cove / Mountain Springs Resteraunt. They have an extensive menu and there prices are on par with other resteraunts in the area. They almosy always have live music on the weekends. The down side to the popularity of Captains Cove is that there is almost always a wait unless you go for dinner at 4:00 in the afternoon so plan accordingly.

Ive been here twice and both times were pleasant. Once in the early evening for dinner, the food was pretty good and the staff was attentive. We sat outside which is a large area with lots of seating and an outside bar. The second time was later at night when the night life crowd comes through. Its a different atmosphere, a bit louder outside but its fun.

We just had dinner there tonight. We had previously (last summer) enjoyed the fish and chips and so ordered it again. The salad was disappointing - iceberg lettuce and croutons. The croutons were stale. The fish was very crisp and very brown and the chips were somewhat soggy. With a draft beer for each of us it was $50. Wont be going back.

We had read good reviews of Dans at Green Hills and decided to visit for a birthday celebration. The service was excellent as was the food. It is definitely a white tablecloth sort of place. There are several rooms in an old inn with seating for 4 or 6 at most tables and a room for large parties.

Feel sorry for bar tenders they were busting there buts trying to keep up. Management sucks they could see they needed more then 2 guys. Very upset the orders they did deliver were wrong and the others never showed up at all. Very nice place shame nobody knows how to run it. Never going back.

i went to visit friends and they took me to this place. we didnt eat, just got a drink as they were closing up for the night. but the atmosphere is campy and fun and very secluded. the hammock chairs in the bar area are a great touch. definately reccoment it for a fun place to go in Reading Pa

Nice deck, decent food. Went to take my kids to the bathroom and when i came back the table was cleared, despite leaving my keys and the girls stuffed animals. They did offer to replace my food, which they did, but not the kids meals and then I was overcharged for the meals. Unfortunate.
