Today I went to the Tiki Bar for the first time with my mother, girlfriend, and her friend. I Had high expectations going in from things I had heard about from a friend recently. To my surprise, the waiting staff was very rude to us. We did not receive good service on our drinks, and the food is extremely overpriced. My girlfriend paid $30 for a 6 oz. filet, bear in mind, nobody is bringing this food out to you, and you have to cook it yourself, which is kind of the hook of the whole restaurant, but that should be taken into accountability in the pricing. On top of that, one ignorant member of the waiting staff humiliated my mother in front of another group of costumers. I am of legal age but had forgotten my I.D. so my mother bought me one beer, only one, and some schmuck in a straw hat comes by and starts talking to my mother like she is a child very loudly as other costumers are looking over at this going down. My mother apologized and handled it like an adult while this employee was still acting very childish and upset about the whole ordeal, though he later apologized I was still not pleased with his behavior. So overall if you are at all interesting in half decent food at extremely high prices that you have to cook yourself, with bad service and rude waiting staff to boot, by all means check out the Tiki Bar!

Weve been here twice and like it very much. Its always a good time and its nice to get away from the usual burger joints. I wouldnt classify this as fine dining tho. The food is OK, but borderline over the hill in some cases. Frankly, I get the impression they dont have trained food prep people or staff, but they seem to do a good job anyway. I dont think Id try their raw bar...looks like nobody else does either. And all the food is somewhat overpriced considering you cook it and its on paper plates. But you are paying for the experience and atmosphere, of which this place has tons. Maybe too much...kinda hard to tell what the theme is...Mardi Gras over here, Caribbean over there, Key West over here, English pub over there. But all fun in the end. There are many pros and cons, but I think overall they do a good job...the parking is indeed tight, but they have 2 guys who do a good job of getting everyone in. Sometimes they have inadequate staff, other times too many. Guess it depends when you get there or who calls off. And their indoor sunken BBQ pit is one fall away from a lawsuit. But it is a fun place and a decent time, especially on summer evenings. Id recommend everyone at least gives it a try.

Ive been to the TB three times. Theres a significant lack of parking. The staff is aggressive in having you park extremely close to other vehicles. I let everyone out before parking, otherwise there isnt enough room once you park. The staff is young, snobbish, and if they arent ignoring your table while they get together and gossip, theyre texting on their cellphones. Youre the chef. They give you the food and you cook it over open pit BBQs. When you take this into consideration, the prices become expensive. When you order, they give you one plate with wax paper separating the raw food meats from the precooked sides. The problem was that the raw meat juices leaked onto the plates. When we asked for additional plates, the staff acted like we were being difficult. When its busy, you compete with others for seasonings, spots on the grill, and food thongs. The drinks are ok and run $5-6 bucks. The atmosphere outside along the Manatawny is this places selling point. Bottom line, this place could really be incredible if they addressed some problem areas. Otherwise, just stay home, save the money, and grill out at home.

Went there with big group after enjoying zipline. Was never there b4. Menu sign was hard to read, bc chaulk was light on menu board, and bright sun made it very hard to read. Also several meats/kabobs in case were hard to distinguish bc covered in sauce. Didnt know what meat/what sauce was. After seeing what friends ordered/what was on their plates, I was finally able to order. W/out asking them it would have been much more confusing to order. If I had been there sev times, would be easier to order I think. But as newbie it was confusing. Cooked food while bbq area was really crowded and had to wait for tongs sev times. Sat down at table and enjoyed my meal. Server was very attentive. We never waited long for drinks. Had one ready b4 we finished last few gulps. Great! He was very fast at cleaning up used plates/cups and wiping table down. Exellent server couldnt ask for better and there was 8 at table so we kept him busy, along w his other tables. He was on top of it whole time. Had a great experience there. Would recommend to others.

This place used to provide a good experience - it has since become a place with a lackadaisical staff, high pricing and small portions, among its parking problems. Lets face it, you probably do not live in Oley. You probably do not live near Oley. To drive one hour to a restaurant to be turned around because their lot it full is a bit ridiculous. How about not being told they are out of food so you buy drinks at the bar while you wait for a table. Asinine rules about which counter you order food from can leave you with an empty plate - I had to hit both lines to get an alligator kabob, the first was not allowed to pull from the second for me. The portions are SMALL - the tuna looked to be the size of one I had on an $8 sandwich from my local tavern the night before. This place is merely annoying, but for the prices, why arent you having a chef cook for you? One hour from civilization, they are hoping you consider yourself stuck and deal with what they offer, or dont offer.

This is my ALL time favorite place to eat with company. Their food is so fresh and it is always a fun time being able to grill your own food! Their staff are friendly and informative which is very important to me for a good atmosphere. The set up is unique and fun! One of my favorite parts is the fact that when you sit outside there are seats right along the river. So beautiful and relaxing! Another perk is their oyster shot bar, personally not my kind of thing as well as my girlfriend, but the guys loved them and raved over them! I have literally been drooling over the idea of going there all summer and am so excited to know that I will finally be going soon. One final point is their facebook page is always up to date and posting what is going on. Kudos to whomever runs the page!

This is a great place to bond together with people! It has many variations of rareity meats. Such as frog legs, and alligator meats! You have to cook your own food to your liking! It has a wonderful veiw by a river. But there are limited spices for your flavors. But good options. Get a potato that you can put topings on with a salad! And a fancy slice of bread!!! I would really recommend this place to bond together
