I was a little apprehensive when we walked into this place tonight, as there were no other customers inside. The first thing I noticed was the cute decoration. The place was very clean as well. My Philly tour guide and my two associates decided on Chinese during our ride back from Atlantic City... and it turns out we made a pretty good choice. We placed orders for 4 entrees, which we passed around family style. The sweet and sour chicken was tasty, the spicy orange been was delicious, the twice cooked pork had a great consistency, and the chicken pad thai was tasty, with a hint of licorice (which was a little strange but still good) The service was impeccable, and the food came up fairly fast. Ive had better Chinese, but this was well worth the 3 stars, and Id come back again. BYOB welcome.

For those who have forgotten what a real Chinese restaurant could be, Da Chen brings back all those wonderful memories. The General Tsos chicken is truly delightful - and its the best egg drop soup Ive had in ages! They bring you tea and wonton dippers when you are seated, and the waitstaff is always friendly. After only a couple of visits, they know and remember our needs and likes - even over the phone! This restaurant is a real treat; you wont be disappointed!

We were looking for another option near the Red Roof besides more diner food. Da Chen was easy to get to and the food was so good. Ive had a lot of beef lo mein in my life but this was the most tender beef Ive ever had. The service was great - attentive and fast. The food was on the table before we were done playing with the Chinese Zodiac place mats. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for good food.

I was taken here for dinner back in college by my family in the late 90s, early 2000s. I just went back a few months ago, and it hasnt changed a bit! Food is still excellent, service excellent, prices very reasonable! I recommend this place! My sister is planning a visit to Philadelphia later this month and I let her know to go there for dinner. Highly recommended.

I cant speak for everyone else, but in my case the food was great! I was throwing a little get together and ordered a good amount of food. Other then the battered shrimp (the batter was still a little wet in the inside), the food was excellent. The taste, presentation, and the amount of food was great.

Clean restaurant, excellent service, good prices, fresh food.. Appetizer Boa Boa platter average..disappointing. Some dishes could have had better seasoning ( spicier). Will definitely go back.

"Unclean, salty, stale, no taste and no sense of hospitality." We have no option for Chinese food around here, so we go. I decided after todays visit not to go again as food was - "disgusting".
