Ive dined here many times before but just recently noticed that dim sum is available on Saturday/Sunday. I took my wife and boy to see it how it compares to our usual dim sum spot in Chinatown. We were seated about 10 min before they officially opened (at 11 am). Tea and water served. Booster seat brought out for my son. I went ahead and used the dim sum menu and check marked what we wanted to try. The selection is not as diverse as Chinatown, but it is adequate for dim sum. My wife complimented on the congee and my son enjoyed it as well. The chicken feet is much better here too. Of the 8 or so items ordered, including a quarter roasted duck, only 1 dish didnt meet our expectations. It was the Fried Taro cake. I never had it before. The waiter noticed that we only took a small bite and was generously enough to exclude it from our bill. He said he didnt want to charge us for something that we didnt like/eat. It was such an impressive gesture of great service. Each dishes were a tad bit more expensive but parking is free and service is impeccable. Price is very fair for convenience and service. I will be back for sure!

My mother and I had went there yesterday for some lunch. She really wanted to try the dim sim. When we got there it wasnt busy and got a table right away. I give this a 3 star because our service was horrible. Our waiter was horrible since he seemed not to want to wait on us. I would see him walk up to our table and turn around when we were ready to order. He did that several times prior to actually taking our order didnt offer anything else to drink until I had requested for something else. I was immediately turned off for the lack of hospitality by our waiter. When my mother asked for her brown rice that she had ordered and they had neglected to give it to her, was we asked our waiter to bring out the rice and he had an attitude about it. Not to mention when we had left, he called us to bring our check and payment to him so he can personally check us out. That would be the first and last time I would eat in there. I may order their food but it would only be for take out. But what took me was the fact that he really didnt want to wait on us.

Only know 2 other places in country (USA) with such "authentic" Chinese cuisine and thats in Pittsburgh PA and Irvine, CA.. Was somewhat skeptical when first ordering from this place...when I called to ask if they would prepare the food in a certain way, I got a major whooping on the phone by the owner. Whatever you do ..dont ask for customization or you might not get served :)) They have yummy dishes like Pan Fried Noodle, Beef Stew "Soup" (ONLY) and maybe specialize in "Chow Fun"

Fine dining is sparse on the Main Line but Sang Kee in Wynnewood delivers. I love their won ton soup, their spring rolls, their sesame chicken, their salads, the fried won tons ... honestly I cant say as Ive had anything that DIDNT meet expectation (well the desserts arent stellar, but when do you go to a Chinese restaurant for dessert?). Just be sure to go at off peak times - the place IS noisy and other diners can be obnoxious.

Love the food, especially the beef with walnuts and the classic General Tsos. Food comes out quickly, and the staff is cordial. However... the waiters dont frequent the tables. I had a few experiences here in which Ive asked for refills, extra rice, and spices only to be forgotten about- prompting me to ask again and again. All in all, food is exquisite and the chefs are quick, yet the service is lacking.

The Peking duck is good, but not at the same level of quality as in Chinatown. I wont be going back, however, based on the service. I was there with my family on a Sunday afternoon -- not crowded. However, 1) No one bothered to seat us for 5 minutes. 2) One of the dishes had a piece of sharp plastic in it. When I discretely informed the waiter, he said, "What do want me to do?" and shrugged. No apology.

We can always count on everyone enjoying their meal at Sang Kee. We all love the shrimp dumpling noodle soup with pork. The kids can not get enough of the crispy shrimp roles and the house fried rice is more than delicious. As far as main courses go we have not tried one we did not like. Go early with the kids. If you get in by 5:45 you wont wait which makes for a nicer night with young children.

Food is good. To bad that they cant seem to keep a to-go order straight. I went to pick up my order and they did not have it at all. It wasnt it their system at all. I checked the phone number I called, which was correct, and the best they could do was re-place the order. Then they told me it would take 30 minutes, instead of rushing the order! Wont be going back there ever again!

Visited with my family. Ordered Peking duck, Shanghai noodles, beef chow fun. All the items were good but definitely not cheap. Would visit again if we have Peking duck and noodles and we are in the area. One criticism is that the servers did not check up on us frequent enough to take additional orders so ended up staying there longer than expected.

A more refined suburban counterpart to the Chinatown institution. The menu is interesting and creative. The food is absolutely delicious. Must have: peking duck roll, dumplings, honey roast pork, jia jiang mein (spicy pork noodles), chicken with crunchy lettuce wrap... I could go on. The service is always attentive and the food comes fast and hot.

I was taken their by a mentor from my church one day. And tbh, Ive dined at a lot of different Asian cuisine styled places. But this is definitely top 3! The service was excellent. Our water was their to refill our glasses without being asked. And the food was all that! Will most certainly come again..........................

Great place. I have been to many Dim Sum spots in Chinatown in NYC (both touristy and not) and this place serves up food that is just as good. The staff is very friendly and the food comes really quickly. My only gripe is that it gets crowded quickly which is a testament to the quality of the food.

Love, love, love this place. Best shrimp dumpling soup anywhere. Favorites are the eggplant in garlic sauce, szechuan string beans, dry pepper style spicy chicken, and all of their dumplings. A few good dim sum options, too, and their egg custard tarts are a great way to finish the meal.

People are so friendly. I get to be friends with the manager and they make me feel like home. We all speak Cantonese. The food is delicious and the portion size is generous. They gave us free dessert and ice cream. How nice!!! We eat here so often and we love it. Thank you.

The Sang Kee in Wynnewood far outshines its sister restaurant on Chestnut Street. I often order out from here, and have never been disappointed. The pricing tends to be reasonable as well. Dining al fresco is enjoyable in the summer and the waitstaff is attentive and polite.
