Went with a party of 7 tonight to celebrate my good friends birthday and announce that she and her husband are expecting a baby in august. arrived early expecting a wait... was told 45 minutes to an hour. at one hour we asked where our table was... were told they gave another table to a party which was still waiting for half their table to arrive and they could seat our party of 7 at a booth for 4! over and hour and 15 minutes go by and we finally got seated... after multiple complains. the manager wouldnt even look my pregnant birthday girl friend in the eye. he never apologized and never came to our table. The girl at the front desk told me that she thought that an "hour and fifteen minutes was pretty good" and it would have been - had we been communicated to at all! They were out of all the drinks we ordered! AND they took 15 minutes to tell us they were out of those drinks! ordered our appetizers and only brought waters for half the table. took over 30 minutes to take our dinner order. Drinks were watery and poorly made. Burritos not very warm or filling. Overall, this was a terrible experience for what should have been a really enjoyable night. If you want good mexican food in the KOP area with fantastic service and reasonable prices... you MUST go to el limon on conshy.

I love their food and their house margaritas are sooo good! The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because it took us an hour to get a table after being told it would be 25 minutes (there were only 3 of us, not a huge group)...turns out the 3 hostesses gave our place in line away to another group and then proceeded to seat about 10+ tables until we had to ask when we would be seated (our buzzer never went off either). When they realized they skipped us, we were told we would be seated "next"...3 more groups skipped ahead of ours until they remembered again they needed to seat us. Once we were finally seated, we had asked over 4 times to get utensils...our appetizers and meals were brought out before any forks or knives were brought to the table. Ill go here again but I am disappointed at the hostess service. Our waitress was great and very sweet though

One of the better places in the area for chain restaurant, low-cost Mexican food options. When you sit down, you get warm chips with a rather weak, very tomato-based dipping salsa to munch on while you consider your options of rice, beans, choice of meat, and whether you want some form of hard or soft shells with your cheese sauce. The service is good with food coming out almost freakishly fast after ordering. The quality of the food is OK, but not great. However, this is offset by the low prices. So you get what you pay for here, and again, its not bad. The beer menu is limited, but you do get the option of a large mug -- and one of these is really all you need! Its huge. I enjoy the times I go here. When I want high quality, there are other area options. When I feel like beers and portions, this is a great place to go.

I was just visiting from out of town and stopped to eat and I am impressed. Upon entry, we were seated quickly, and drinks and chips with salsa were instantly brought to the table. I ordered a bowl of guacamole, to which a man with a cart pulled up and asked how I wanted it made. He mixed it up right in front of us, then served it in a decorative lava rock stone bowl. We ordered our food, which the waiter took down without missing a step (im very picky when it comes to Mexican). The food arrived almost instantly. I have never gotten the food that fast at any sit down restaurant. The food itself was excellent. Our cups were never empty. The place was amazingly decorated. A Aztec dragon like thing was the sink in the bathroom. Over all I am greatly impressed.

Really good, inexpensive meal with great ambiance. Only ding a tiny bit because of hidden charges. Most of the drink prices are not labeled and our friend was not prepared to pay $16 for a TINY margarita in a tiny gourd. Not pumpkin, gourd. Less than 6 ounces? It evened out because dinner was cheap with the coupon in the Clipper but...wow. Be careful of the guacamole charges - it says $7 on some menus but its $10 now. I think thats really, really high, especially since you are already supposed to tip the guac guy. Otherwise, really great value, good chips, everything always very fresh. Watch out for the theme nights (karaoke/quizzo) if you are trying to have a more quiet evening. My wife participates in the karaoke and loves it, but its not for me.

We have tried every Mexican Restaurant in the area and this is now our favorite. Tex Mex in North Wales is a close second. The service was excellent, the food was very good. I say this because depending on what you ordered. Out of the 5 dishes we ordered 3 were excellent and 2 were good. You must get the guacamole they make it fresh at the table. Order it when you do you drinks. This way you will have it with the warm chips. As another tip, when the drinks come be ready to order your food that way there are no issues having the weight staff guessing when you are ready. In addition it is a comfortable time between the chips, salsa, and guacamole and when you get your entree. The price in my opinion was a good value for the money.

Frequently visited this place about every 2 weeks for the past 3 months. After walking into the plymouth meeting establishment tonight and receiving the unwelcome i was greeted with I may never step foot in here again. Had a party of 5 and it wasnt busy. Was told there world be a 30 minute wait which wasnt the real issue. The hostess gave such a poor attitude that we turned away the wait and decided to take our business elsewhere. Its a shame because I have spent quite a good bit of money In this place and to have such poor attitude at the door is really disrespectful to any patron. Looks like Ill be finding another Mexican spot to frequent with more welcoming service.

Great food, poor service. Im from NC and this is as close to the Mexican food Im accustomed to around. Overall the food is delicious and a good value for the most part. They have great drink specials as well. As mentioned though, the service is atrocious. Theyre friendly enough, its just that they are very in attentive. Its as if they have no idea how to properly wait tables. Its almost as if theyre chronically overwhelmed, and this is always the case regardless of how busy they are. That said, I eat here as much as possible, the food more than accommodates for the poor service.

This is a quality establishment. If youre visiting the area and looking for a good mexican restaurant, go here! I have had a wonderful experience dining here Sunday night. They have a live mariachi band that goes around the restaurant playing table-side and taking requests. The service was good, nothing too special; however, if I was Spanish it may have been a different experience with the waiters/waitresses. Nonetheless the service, atmosphere, food, and cleanliness were all great. Menu choices were varying, and my dinner (the chicken fried rice) was amazing. Great place to eat.
