I live right around the corner and my first time going to this restaurant was fantastic. We didnt wait long for a table at all, the food was fantastic and served promptly. The free margaritas are a plus and their attention to food allergies is great. My mom and I are both gluten free, so having the corn tortillas instead of flour is fantastic. The second time I went there, it was around 7 pm on a Saturday night toward the end of April. It was a warm night and people were sitting outside in their patio area. The parking lot was cramped, they were hosting a big party and almost every table was full. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, which was out on the patio. Our server was great and we ordered a few minutes after being seated. The free margaritas were flowing and there was live music playing in the background. About a half hour later, we didnt have our food yet and the people who got there after us were already being served. Our server said our food was coming shortly. Another half an hour passed and still no food and our server said that our food was coming out next as we were starting to get impatient (and hungry). I ordered fajitas which shouldnt have taken that long to prepare. Another 15 minutes passed and still no food. We were contemplating getting up and leaving and making other arrangements for dinner. We complained to our server and he completely understood our position. He had tried to explain our experience to the owner and the slowness of the kitchen to get the orders out to tables and he wouldnt listen. Another 10 minutes went by and we threatened to walk out if our food wasnt served within a couple of minutes, when our waiter said our food would be out in 2 minutes. We finally received our food after a an hour and a half after ordering, which is an excessive wait time! I will definitely go back because the food is great, but maybe make reservations first or go earlier on a Saturday night. Or on a weekday when they are less busy. Overall, great food, great free margaritas, great atmosphere, just dont go on a Saturday night.

Server placed us in the corner of the restaurant and at the time was only serving us and one other table. We ordered 4 appetizers (2 quesedillas and 2 nachos). When the food came out, it was so cold. Literally the corn, vegetables and even the cheese within the food... Cold and Dry. Also the corn served was literally a teaspoon full. We ate our entire meal and the server didnt come and check on us once. Then I had to get up and ask for the check. Bad service and the worse food. Never again. Also they wanted to charge $3.00 for a side of guacamole... the size of a ketchup cup from McDonalds. With this horrible ice cold meal of appetizers we finally received a bill of $60.00. Never again, ever, ever, ever!!

We used to go to Tamarindos in its old location and loved it. Went to the new place and its a much bigger place with nice outdoor seating. Food is still the same as I remember, which means its delicious! The only thing that was off was when we first walked in, there was no host/hostess to seat us. It was a little confusing to have to find someone to seat us. Otherwise, our waitress was on point topping off our drinks and checking on us during dinner. If you havent been to Tamarindos before, make plans for it because its top notch cuisine. =)

We have been dining at Tamarindos for a few years now. We can say nothing but excellent things about this restaurant. The food is wonderful as are the margaritas and service. Yesterday we celebrated my husbands 40th birthday party there and I could not have been more happy with everything. The owner, Fernando Sauri , was very accomidating and checked in on us multiple times. He was also very involved in the restaurant, from seating customers, serving them and making sure everything was to our/their liking.

We are so happy to have Tamarindos in Flourtown! If you visit here make sure to ask for Luis as your waiter. His attention to detail, his knowledge, his personality will really make your visit one to remember! All the food on the menu has been spectacular, not to mention the margaritas and margarita mixed with Modelo Especial. Im a sucker for their nachos and enchiladas. I cant stop going back for the great food, service and atmosphere. If you live local or are just passing through make sure to stop in!

Very delicious! Our favorite place to go out for a nice meal close to home. There are many choices on the menu, way more diverse than what you expect to choose from at a Mexican restaurant. Everything weve tried has been so good. One of our favorite things about this place is that your meal comes with a margarita. Very authentic. Looking forward to the next excuse to go.

WOW! What can be said that hasnt been said already...came for the first time back in March and I have been waiting for a chance to come back. Celebrating my anniversary today and it could not be better...service is top notch and the food is excellent! It goes without saying, watch it out for the refills on the refreshments that come with the entrées. ENJOY!

I finally had the pleasure to try this place yesterday with my boyfriend, and it was well worth the wait! The food was excellent (I had the swordfish), and our server, Luis, was amazing, very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be returning for the awesome food selection, great atmosphere and terrific staff! Rebecca Arnold

Dont go here. The food had little flavor, and seemed lackluster. Small portions with moderately higher pricing. And the clients stare at you as if you dont belong. However, the service was good. And the ambiance was great. But I go to restaurants for the food, not the chairs and ceilings.

Decent food , decent service. Free margaritas are nice. Went with a party of 9 and we got chips and salsa for the table. Most Mexican restaurants its free. It cost is $40+ dollars for our table on the bill at the end. A little ridiculous. Mixed up some entrees too. I will still go back.

Long wait to be seated and acknowledged at the table. Shrimp were bad, only ate 2/3 of 1 enchilada, told the waiter, said the taste was from the goat cheese, still charged for full meal. Not recommended!

Best salsa con queso youll ever have, solid guac, really good chips, and awesome if kinda small tacos. Drinks are okay but not spectacular. Outdoor seating is a must for the nice space to relax a bit.

Good Mexican food and the prices are great, too. A little noisy given the setup of the dining room, but not a huge deal. Ill definitely be back soon!
