It is with conflicting emotions that I write this review. Historically, when it comes to Mexican restaurants, I place a great deal of emphasis on the chips and salsa. These are usually a leading indicator of the rest of the food, however it is the opposite at el Limon. Both the chips and salsa are crap, I am sorry to say. The tortilla chips are so thick that they are closer to pita chips - who would make them so thick? The salsas they give you are the wrong combination of spicy and bland - too much of both. It has gotten so bad that we order tacos and burritos from El Limon, yet we make an extra stop at Chipotle for chips and salsa because 3/4 of my family refuses to eat the chips from El Limon. Having said the above - their tacos are worth the trip. Of any place in the Philadelphia area they do the best job of authentic and flavorful tacos. They truly are delicious. @ the owner of el Limon - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a 2.5 hour trip to DC and go to any District Taco location and order chips and salsa. It is so far and above what you offer - take notes and replicate it. Your business will increase 20 %. I will even pay for the tolls on the trip if it means that the chips and salsa will change at your place. Hell - if you had chips as decent as Chipotle you would be my familys favorite restuarant in the Philadelphia area. Please look into it - the chips and salsa are holding your restaurant back.

Was I at a different restaurant than all of these reviewers? My girlfriend and I saw how much people loved this place and checked it out a couple weeks ago. When we entered, we were seated at the middle take in the front, despite other tables being clean along the sides. So every time another group came in or a server brought out an order, we got grazed. Then the food: worst fish tacos Ive ever had, like, without question. They had zero flavor. And the wait staff, basically all high school kids, seemed perpetually grumpy

The food is good and the service is pleasant and efficient. I got my order to go and they made sure I had all the fixings that a customer gets when eating in the restaurant. I got the fist taco, it was good but I was a little disappointed because it couldve had more fish. The fish is grilled and I wish it was seasoned a little more. Chips and guacamole were average, noting to scream about, but I have every intention on going back and trying something different.

This is one of our fav places to go to but the customer service is really bad. It was pouring outside so we asked the server if we could sit there for a bit while the rain stopped because we walked to the resturant. The server literally said that we couldnt and kicked us out. There werent even that many people in the resturant... We were literally wet by the time we got home. Never going back again. I will take my business somewhere else.

Es un lugar sin pretensiones que ofrece comida mexicana rápida. Es sabrosa, no muy costosa. El ambiente podría ser mejor, pero es muy sencillo. Está bien para un almuerzo sencillo.

This is the real deal. Like Norristown relocated to Ardmore. Quick, cheap and delicious. Real Puebla favorites done right, and pretty consistent. Sometimes a kitchen change will make your order come out differently, but its never been BAD. So glad to have authentic Mex on the Main Line.

Very inexpensive Mexican cuisine, but still very authentic. Their Al Pastor tacos are the best, but they also make great burritos and enchiladas. They provide free margaritas, albeit a bit watered down. But since its BYOB, you can bring your own tequila to make it stronger if you like

Cheap and delicious. Ask for the free margaritas at dinner time - they dont advertise it, so I only knew about it from having gone to the Conshohocken location before. Dont expect a fancy meal, but you will leave stuffed at a reasonable price. Second tip: BYO beer

Yummy authentic Mexican eats. Relaxed atmosphere and they serve complimentary margaritas if you dine in. Great service and quite inexpensive. El Pastor and fish tacos could use more flavor otherwise I would have given them a 5. Even the take out had eye appeal.

The tacos are unbeatable. I love the Chorizo & El Pastor. Its fast when its not busy, and the flour tacos might give a bit more meat than the corn, both of which, however, are excellent and fairly priced! Amazing, fresh food! The flan is also fantastic!

I go for the tacos! I like that there are a lot of selections for sauces on the menu. Service is casual, friendly (and) one Saturday night included complimentary Margaritas - Cant beat that. Ingredients are fresh, prices are good, parking is easy .

Great authentic experience. If you get an order to go and get extra sauce, make sure the containers full and you get your moneys worth. Best place for tacos on the main line for me. Their enchiladas and burritos are awesome.

Some of the most authentic Mexican Cuisine I have had on the East Coast! The staff here is friendly and the food is flavorful. I highly recommend the Pastor tacos on flower, they are simply mouth-watering.

Great service, homemade, mamas kitchen- like food. The flan is my favorite and El pastor is on another level. Love the Ardmore locations food the best, Bryn Mawr is great too. Always leave stuffed!

Excellent Mexican food, quite inexpensive. One caution: when I get take out there, I often receive the wrong thing, though they quickly correct this if I notice when I check in the bag.
