Awesome! This place has a great concept, that is well-executed. First of all, "Thin Man" isnt because the sandwiches are friendly to my diet, its a reference to a classic 1930s mystery-comedy series. The bold color scheme, chalkboard menu wall, and fun space makes the atmosphere a blast. The food is equally as awesome! I personally love the signature Thin Man Sandwich with house-made chicken liver mousse. They even sell the mousse by itself! The other staple that I love is the Il Bastardo Sandwich with a runny egg. I like to get it with bacon added. This sandwich is a messy delight (and fun to watch other squirt egg all over themselves!). I also greatly enjoyed the Korean BBQ sandwich and Duck Sausage sandwich. I havent tried them all as of yet, but intend on doing so. Almost half of their menu changes regularly while the other half are their signatures. I have also enjoyed their beverage selections. Simple bottled water, Mexican Coke, and specialty house-made sodas. I really like the one with ginger...yum! Service thus far has been friendly and prompt. I always get a smile from the chef-owners as they are cooking your meal right there in front of you! I highly recommend. Consider this great new Pittsburgh spot as fine dining on a bun.

We went to this sandwich shop for lunch, and it was great. The people were very nice, it wasnt too expensive, and the sandwiches were super creative. I asked for advice and was directed to their signature sandwich, the "Thin Man", with chicken liver pate, bacon, and arugula. I was a little skeptical because I dont love liver, but the suggestion was spot on. The sandwich was great, and we ate at some pleasant tables outside

I come here frequently and get the same delicious results. When you go you cant decide what to get but whatever you choose it will be better than the sandwich you got before. The owners Dan and Sherri are the nicest people youll meet if your a foodie like me you will sure have a great conversation. All and all a great restaurant and in my opinion its way better than Primantis

Quirky little place in the Strip District specializing in very unique sandwiches. The sandwiches are pretty big with reasonable prices, and their contents are very different from your mainstream ingredients. One of their signatures contains a spread of chicken liver and is worth trying at least once.

This place makes some of the most innovative sandwiches in Pittsburgh, but I have to be honest: I come back for their eponymous sandwich, the Thin Man. Savory chicken liver pate and decadent bacon are a winning combination. The sides and sodas are pretty good, too!

Its a shame that Primantis is the most famous sandwich spot in Pittsburgh when a place like this exists. The thoughtfulness and execution of the food very obviously comes from seasoned chefs. Each sandwich is akin to eating a high end meal; just in sandwich form.

Im bummed I havent tried this place sooner. They have the BEST sandwiches. We tried the Blue Ribbon and Fish and Chips sandwiches and were very happy. Crisp side salad was a perfect accompaniment. Fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back again.

I am currently eating a Jamison Farms Lamb Kibbee sandwich and it is amazing. So incredibly flavorful. The staff there is all amazing and friendly. I have yet to eat a single item from their menu that has not been out of this world.

Ive been here several times in the past year. The food is immaculate and the sandwiches are very creative. Theyre probably the best sandwiches in the city.
