They dont honor their website oyster happy hour description It says: HAPPY HOUR $1 East Coast Oysters & $2 West Coast Oysters Boiler Makers with Clyde Mays Whiskey [etc] Turns out, for the happy hour deal, you have to buy either 6 or 12, a mix of their choice of two sorts of West Coast, or 2 sorts of East Coast. So even if something you want is on their happy hour menu, you have to take as many of something else you (quite likely) dont enjoy. Elsewhere on the menu they use "chefs choice" to indicate that they choose for you. They dont bother saying that for their happy hour promo. They also dont bother to mention that you must buy 6 or 12. The shucker said something about "the fine print," but theres no fine print on the website (I re-checked). Didnt buy anything, because if someone plays fast and loose with a promo, I dont trust them to be clean, right and tight with their oysters.

To be honest, im not a huge fan of raw bar fare. However, my wife will slurp down some oysters in a second. She had a Gin Fizz which she was very happy with and the beer selection was very well put together. The prices definitely edge towards the high side, (not a surprise really, for a new trendy joint in the new East Liberty) but we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the Po Boys after being concerned about the price. I had the oyster (cooked perfectly and tasty as hell) and my wife loved the shrimp Po Boy. On a hot day, its going to be warm as hell, especially when its busy as its a very small space. The A/C was doing the best it could but it verged on uncomfortable at times. If youre going to go in the summer, wear something light.

My girlfriend and I just stopped there and I truely felt that I got ripped off. Stopped for happy hour for there oysters and got changed triple the price so be careful with the bartender because you think you are getting East coast oysters for a dollar a piece but they slip you a sampler plate for three times the price. We specifically ask about the happy hour oysters and they make you think that all East coast oysters are a dollar apiece and they are not. Only one kind are. So we had 18 oysters that should have been $18 that ended up being $52. I never felt so ripped off. Also, the lobster roll aat Rolands is bigger and cheaper and taste the same. So be careful when going here

The only thing I dont like about oysters is that you can eat so many and still be hungry! That being said, Muddy Waters had some fantastic and fresh oysters. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the oysters available. They put together a great sample platter for us to try. I also had the salmon entree and it was done medium rare, and perfect. The drink menu was also very good with a nice selection. Full disclosure though, if you are fan of oysters you can rack up a significant bill if you arent careful. Happy hour there is a nice solution to that problem!

Unique place. The staff are very friendly and the bar tender knew what he was doing. The lobster roll was outstanding. It was served warm and Im pretty sure that Ive only ever had them chilled. Huge chunks of lobster. The fluff that adds the additional flavors wasnt overwhelming. I was pleased with the dish. Good fries, too. The sampler was great. Oysters excellent. The drinks were incredibly well balanced and tasted great. I had two drinks buy cant remember the name of either.

Fresh oysters prepared on the half-shell right in front of you, Cajun food, amazing cheddar grits, and interesting cocktails in an industrial setting. Check out the 20-foot long Bloody Mary bar at brunch on Saturdays and Sundays! Pleasant service and servers encourage you to take your time even though it can be very busy. Great specials on oysters at Happy Hour. Reservations accepted and recommended.

We went there for the happy hour oysters. We were confused at first because we thought it was any oyster on the menu. Our server informed us that the $1 or $2 oysters were only for selected items. Anyway, the oysters were really fresh and we enjoyed them. Our server was very accommodating and helped us select wine pairings. It can get a bit pricey, but the place was great and we enjoyed the food.

Best meal Ive had in Pittsburgh hands down. The service was great, the drinks were spectacular (try "Aint Got No Thyme), and the food was to die for. Definitely give this new restaurant a try, they will keep you coming back for sure. Ill be making it my business to become a regular. S.N. Im also very tempted to give these guys a one star rating so I can see an awesome witty reply :-)

Went there with my girlfriend last night and had a great time. Waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made everything easy and fun. Oysters were fresh and drinks were on point. However just on a side note everytime that the owner posts a reply I have a good laugh. Owner seems to have a good sense of humor and will be getting my business again.

Fantastic! A little pricey but not for what you get. We had a party of six and the portions were really large. Everyones meals came out perfect. We all enjoyed them and the drinks we had. Our waitress was very attentive but not overly so. We even bought the kitchen a six pack (love that option on the menu!) when we were done. Cant wait to go back!

Absolutely awful. The food was mediocre at best, but the service was simply atrocious. You would be hard pressed to find a more apathetic, checked-out server. We will not being going back and we will tell all of our friends to stay clear, as well. If you want good southern/creole food and good service, venture over to Carmis on the Northshore.

My date and I shared oysters, fried green tomatoes and their steak dish that was smothered in a mushroom sauce. We both unconsciously seemed to pass on the sauce and therefore ushered it off to the side and enjoyed the steak, cooked to perfection! For dessert, we had underwhelming pie but since the rest of our meal was so good we didnt mind.

My ex and I went here on a Friday nite, when the trumpet players are here. Shed lives in Seattle and Cape Cod and likes oysters; it was a natural fit. Oysters fresh, monger knew his scheisse, our server was good, and we chatted w trumpet dude. It would be good w/o the whole gig, but the parts made it special. Try the blackberry mint julep.

Food here is great, and their happy hour oyster deal is excellent. Your pick of east or west cost oysters for a couple dollars a piece will make sure you taste everything you want to. Food is solid, and the staff has always been friendly. Their version of the deviled egg always leaves me wanting for more!

Amazing food and even better service. Kara was challenged with a large birthday group including several kids and she was excellent! Catered to and made suggestions for the little ones and handled everything to perfection. Best food Ive had out in a long time!

Authentic and delicious New Orleans and Southern fare. Best fried green tomatoes Ive had and a wide selection of oysters. Thats all before the main course. They also have a compelling beer selection and unique cocktails. Cant wait to go back.
