As a long time fan of Outback, a co-worker and I visited on 12/5/16, and I have to say I was very disappointed in the entire experience. We sat at the bar, and it was obvious from the get-go that the bartender was more interested in attending to her regulars and talking with them than serving new guests. It took over 5 minutes just to place our drink order. We were served our drinks 3 or 4 minutes later, after she went to a couple of other high top tables to refill their drinks and finally got to us. Next was the Salad. Usually a great part of the Outback experience, however, this one was pretty bad. The lettuce was not only wilted, but physically dirty. The worst part is that I didnt notice until the second bite. I stopped eating it, and pushed it aside. When she asked if I was done, I said I was because it was nasty. The only response I received was "Oh". No offer of a new one, no questions about why, etc.. I left it alone, and waited for the main meal. While I was pleased with the steak, the grilled asparagus came out charred. Good thing I paid the extra dollar to upgrade to a premium side. It literally looked as if it fell off the grill right into the flame, and smelled the same way. Again, when asked why I didnt eat it, I answered and received the exact same "Oh" response. No offer to replace it. The restaurant is dated, which doesnt bother me, but its definitely not kept in the best condition for its age. The bathroom floor drains were visibly clogged, the walls and mirrors dirty, and it just had a general appearance of disconcern. As Im not one to complain to receive anything free, or try to get anything comped, I chose to not speak with any manager about my issues. I feel that saying something to the bar tender should have been plenty to have the food that I couldnt/wouldnt eat replaced. At least my co-worker had a near pleasant experience, except for it taking nearly 15 minutes to get a second order of fried shrimp (he did the all you can eat shrimp with his dinner) after asking for it.

Good service but the steak quality has suffered. Avoid. I am a longtime customer of the Outback and have been mostly satisfied for around 20 years at various locations. Over the last few months, 5 of the 6 steaks (strip or rib-eye) that I have ordered at the Monroeville, PA location, have not been cooked properly. I like my steaks done in such a way that they are pink tending towards red in the middle. I have tried ordering medium thrice – twice delivered underdone (very red and just warm but not hot in the middle) and once done just as I like, twice ordered medium-well that came out burned once (no pink left, charred on the outside) and red/bloody and quite warm in the middle, and I tried well done once, which came out with no pink left and somewhat charred. The appetizers, salads, and deserts are still quite good. Unfortunately, it’s not only the preparation, but also the quality of the meat that has been lacking. In several cases the meat has been tough and stringy, and in once case the steak was oddly tasteless. I spoke with the manager on two of these occasions and in both cases the manager was mostly apologetic. In one case she said, “The next time you come in, ask for me and I’ll be sure your steak is prepared as you like it.” The problem is that I do not want to ask for special treatment each time I come in for a meal. I just want to order, eat and enjoy, and then leave feeling satisfied. My parents have had similar experiences (they were with me on two of these occasions), and as a result have decided to no longer visit this location. It’s a shame because the Outback for years was one of the more solid/consistent performers of the mainstream steakhouses.

The food is not bad, I tried to use Samsung pay & that required asking a manager if its ok. The manager came & said they need ID, I had ID as well as the physical card so she said it wont work. Ill repeat the fact I wanted to try 1st as I can gain points each time, she (the server)said I could pay online the $3.20 for only an Iced tea. idk if it was because it was blooming monday, I tried to spend on tea to keep from walking out with freebie. Maybe the ladies were having a bad day, so they came across afraid of me & racist. Often 10 times out of 10 restaurants will say it wont work but still allow me to try.. Ill have to assume I was overcharged for 1 cold beverage at $2.99 this time, since I was given choice to pay online, Im compelled not to be so kind again if thats the case. before leaving I paid for it with a $20 & explained they should try 1st. They must get older folks more often, are scared Im doing some modern theivery, or who knows just was very unusual. Next time someone tries it would be a good idea to accept the attempt & on to the next customer for Christs sake... weirdest day ever cause of this smh

Showed up at 230 to eat. Went to hostess and me being a single large overweight man they tried to sit me in a 2 person booth by bar. Needless to say i didnt fit. Walked me back to front then tried to sit me at a 4 person table. People at other tables including a wheelchair blocked me from all but one seat. That seat would have been in the aisle where everyone walks. I asked to be Sat 2 tables over at an empty table that had room. 7 minutes after I started keep track of time a waitress came and told me she was going to be my waitress. She started to walk off and I told her I wanted a soda and new what I wanted. I stated I wanted the sirloin and grilled shrimp. She mention that I could get a larger sized steak and I agreed to the 9 once one. I told her that I wanted salt and pepper on the steak and cooked on open flame. She told me that only ribeyes can be cooked on the open flame and they didnt have other seasoning for steaks. She explained they eliminated the wood fired grill and wouldnt cook the steak that way except if I ordered a ribeye. I handed her my menu and decided to eat somewhere else.

Recently went here about two days ago, and wanted to try something new. This was our first ever Outback restaurant, but of course weve been to plenty of other steakhouses. Nothing could have ever prepared us for how good this food would be! I ordered Classic steak well-done with green beans. Boyfriend ordered wood-fire steak, well done, with broccoli. The food? EXCELLENT! AND it was cooked WELL-DONE!! Ive had experiences at other restaurants, where you say well-done, but of course theres always pink. Well not here! Then the Sprite, it tasted fresh & delicious. Not like it had been sitting there for about the whole month. Now the food was good, but the place? When we got to our booth, it was sticky so I had to ask them to wipe it off, and on my actual seat there had been grease so every time I sat down, I had to hop over the grease to make sure I didnt get it on my pants. Oh, and my waitress never told us her name. It didnt look like the place was busy either. The people who brought our food though were nice & all the food was DELICIOUS!
