On a recent business trip to the Pittsburgh area I had the opportunity of visitng and dining here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They make everyone who walks in the door feel like family. The food was delicious, not greasy but perfectly deep fried. I travel all over the USA on business, and have enjoyed many restaurants.....Hook Fish and Chicken is the best quality, best priced fish and chicken I have ever enjoyed. Drop by, and you will agree I am sure. Tell Joe that I sent you!

My Mama cant do it this good. They use a great seasoned rub on the chicken then deep fry it! The oyster are some of the best I have eaten. There are a ton of fried sides and everyone of them are first rate! The fried Okra reminds me of what my family made......southern fresh. We now have Hook Fridays. My kids wait at the door for me to come home with their fried Mac and cheese.....lol If you like fried food this place will make you smack your Mama.

My friend is actually giving the review and she told me the first time she walked in there it was better than KFC a million times... I myself had Fish dinner and my friend the chicken which both were the best tasting meals we have had in Months anywhere! I recommend and think everyone should try they will be hooked!!!! The Shrimp is Killer!

Wow of you want the best fried food in the city then then is probably it. We had the fried chicken tenders and catfish and both were finger licking good. Dont plan on dining in as theres no place to sit. We personally enjoyed ours on a park bench nearby.

This must be what heaven feels like. Many a time I have dreamed about their grease soaked wonder bread under a pile of crispy wings. My only regret is that the Penn Hills location was shut down by those snobby health inspectors. Long live Hooks!

For not being from down south these guys know how to serve it up. Ordered food and sat in the car to try it out ended up going back in for dinners for the kids. Maybe a tad too salty but the flavor is right.

I love hooks but the hours listed are wrong they doesnt open until 11am and close at 11pm and they close a couple hours during the day the hours are awakard. But other than thats theyre great!

Its pretty simple fare, basically just fried food and French fries but its if youre craving fried food, this is the place to get it. Good tasting food thats not too greasy
