One of the best places in the area for breakfast. They close at 3:00 PM because they focus on good old fashioned comfort food especially breakfast. I highly recommend if you want a hearty breakfast that "sticks to your ribs" like my mother used to say when she would whip up bacon, eggs, pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy. Plus the prices are very reasonable. You will always find at least 30-40 people eating there no matter what the time is. They treat you like family which makes the comfort food even better. But remember to bring some cash for the tip. Unless they changed their policy and I never bothered to check, you had to tip in cash. I highly recommend.

I too havent been there in years, and disappointed with service, food and the prices they want for that food!! The last straw for me was when they charged something like 2.50 maybe even 3.00 for a very small portion of boxed mac & cheese you know the same kind you buy for kids for a buck a box. We are far from picky, never wrote one of these things ever, at least in the negitive, but there was so many things wrong with the lunch i would hate to see anyone feel like we did walking away, saying when i spend that much money for 3 at lunch one of us should be somewhat happy!!

This was probably one of the most authentic ,home cooked, locally sourced breakfast/ lunches, Ive had in a long time.Everyone at our table tried something different.We all have healthy appetites and there was more food than we could handle.There are no fancy flourishes, which makes me happy.I was pleased with the better than diner coffee. I recommend Raisin toast French Toast if you like , really fresh and tasty Cole Slaw, Mac and cheese ,PERFECT, BLT didnt disappoint( yummy local tomatoes) Waffles out of this world, light tasting and golden brown.Good times,great food!

My wife and I frequently eat there and as said in other reviews, from the outside, it does no look like much; but go inside and you will find not only good home cooking food but something much more important to us; that is the friendly service and its not fake, it is genuine and courteous. Try it once and you will go back again and again.
