One of the worst restaurants in Philadelphia and near by locations.... had lunch buffet there ... and classic example of fake/paid ratings in Google. Worst food ...bad service(feeling bad though as they were senior folks) and entire place filled with bad fish smell. Had fish curry.. cudnt eat beyond the tasting sip... chicken curry/ biriyani should be avoided even if given on 50% off.... please dont go by ratings and waste your day... Ashoka folks you got to seriously change your chef and structure if you want to rightfully claim the ratings you hv been given ... and please get rid of the funny bowls (tiniest in the universe) where even we cant dip the spoon let alone enjoy the desserts / curry ...

Visited this restaurant on my birthday with my wife after reading the multiple (100%) 5 star reviews, and boy they did not disappoint! Being vegetarian, we ordered samosa chat, saag paneer and malai kofta, all of them extremely delicious. When I suggested the malai kofta was slightly overcooked (and therefore hard) than our liking, they promptly apologised and the chef personally brought a new order with "perfect" Koftas. Great experience, highly recommend and will definitely come back!

Food is excellent! Loved every bite! Prices very good. Ordered chicken korma and lamb vindaloo and both were great. They Asked how spicy we wanted each dish to be cooked and didnt disappoint. Felt very much at home here. Server was on point and extremely polite and friendly. I would highly recommend for any fans of Indian food or anyone wanting to try something new and delicious.

Wow! Id heard good things, but today was my first time visiting. I took my daughters (4 and almost 2) to the lunch buffet. I was skeptical that thered be much variety of vegan food, but at least half of the buffet was entirely vegan, and it was aallll so delicious. Staff were so helpful and kind, and environment was appealing and welcoming. Well be back, as often as possible!

One of the best Indian food I ever had! Great atmosphere, great service and amazing food! Good sized portions, authentic, and delicious. Garlic naan, saag paneer, chicken tikka, and the lamb rack are my personal favorites. RoyalAshoka is the best Indian Restaurant in Philadelphia and I recommend coming here because of its superior quality and professional service.

Visiting from NY, found this place randomly in TripAdvisor near where we are staying. They were very welcoming and enthusiastic. The food came quickly and was delicious. Really enjoyed the naan, which comes in a number of varieties. The lassi was also very nice. Everything was very reasonably priced. I would probably go back often if I lived in the area.

Went there later on a saturday night and was satisfied with the eating experience as a whole. The staff were very nice but the food was where this restaurant shines. The prices were very great for the generous portions. I will definitely be going again and bringing more friends.

It smelled good but I had a hair in my paneer masala and then the next day ( today) Im so sick I could cry! This is the worst start to the new year ever! My husband had severe stomach pain. I have severe stomach pain vomiting and you know what! Ughhggg

Great Indian food!!! Place is very clean. Staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Large portion sizes too. They even gave us some complimentary dessert. If you never had Indian food, this is a GREAT place to try it. My wife really loved it too.

There lunch buffet was terrific. The flavors reminded me of a visit to India in 2015. Lots of variety, both northern and southern Indian food and delicious naan. Service is great and prices reasonable. Hope to visit again when in the area.

Serving customers for a buffet? Greedy much?????? Dont bother getting take out buffet at this place, coz God forbid you take more than one selection of meat, they want to pick out and serve how much you get which is just ridiculous
