Unquestionably, the most amazing Indian restaurant, I was served the greatest chicken curry I have ever had. The ambiance might not be a five star experience but the food is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. The service was more of a four star experience. But the fact that the owner came by after 30 seconds of the main course being delivered to see if the food was alright makes this place top notch. Its elegant and enticing the way you would feel if you came over to the owners house for a special dinner occasion, serving authentic Indian cuisine made by the whole family, Its warm its inviting its amazing all around.

I went to this place with a couple of friends to a weekend buffet . I am a big food foodie and I absolutely enjoyed eating in this restaurant . The ambience was also decent and the place was neat . I felt the price of the buffet was also very reasonable and quality and the variety of the food was also was great . There are a quite a few Indian restaurants in Hicksville , but I feel Sakoon is highly underrated and by far one of the best Indian restaurants here. I would highly recommend people to visit this place if you are looking to indulge in some delicious North Indian cuisine .

I would not rate this restaurant even 1 star. All the food I ordered were stale. I order tomato soup which was brown color and looks like they have made it 2 days ago and same thing with appetizer. So to save myself from filthy entree I canceled my remaining orders and walked out of the restaurant. I went there for my anniversary dinner ,I was the only customer that time in the restaurant (7:30 PM) and at the end they successfully ruined my night by taking half hour to bring a check. I would never recommend this restaurant as it is a disgrace to Indian food.

Best Indian cuisine in Long Island , A very good authentic Indian food, already have dinner and take out from Sakoon 4-5 times in past 3 weeks. Had mouth watering Kashmiri kabab and malai kabab . Chicken la jawab is very tasty . Chicken biryani taste so good , I ordered it all the times. I tried different dishes all are very delicious . Staff is also very good , take care of you as soon as you go. Owner is down to earth person. saw him going table to table and ask the customers for their opinion. Must go restaurant.

We went for the buffet on a Sunday afternoon. Arrived at about 12:30. The food is pretty good for what you are paying. $10 on weekends and $9 on weekdays. They give you fresh Naan at your table. Service was great when we arrived however staff got overwhelmed later when the restaurant got full about 1:30 and we had to wait a considerable time for Naan and water etc. The line at the buffet became huge. Make sure you get there early for a good experience.

This was the best indian restaurant i have come across lately. I love this place and the ambiance of it. The food was very delecious specially the chicken makhani. And the apetizers were delecious especially mix grill. The naans and kulcha that i ordered were soft. And the restaurant people were friendly. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. I will surely be back to this place and would recommend to those looking for Indian food.

We were directed to a table that only had utensils and glasses. We ordered our food and got the appetizers first. We had to ask for plates then another time for napkins before the waitress realized. Other tables in the restaurant were set up with plates and napkins. We had to remind the waitress several times of items we requested. Restaurant uses coffee stirrers as straws and dinner prices are overly expensive for the. Subpar experiences

Not bad Indian food. Went there for dinner and they put papadam out for the table. Chicken tikka masala was okay but the tandoori chicken was a little dry. Nan was a little bit soggy, but okay. Service was excellent; friendly staff made sure everything was good. Not sure if there are other Indian places nearby, but if youre in the area during the lunch buffet, I could recommend it. Wont blow you away, though.

I have been to Sakoon several times, i love the food it is amazing but i am not a big fan of them playing modern bollywood songs it was way better when they played classical bollywood songs and also just background instruments and also the waiters do not seem like they want to work there, they always standing or sitting on there phones but overall everything else is great they need to be better at service.

Ive had better Indian food. My coworkers and I went during the lunch buffet, there was no one there other than us. And they had a show about insects playing on a large flat screen the entire time. First I dont like Tvs in restaurants but if you do have a TV, maybe not put on a show about insects while people eat.

One of the cheapest Indian lunch buffets in the area. I suggest to go earlier to get the freshest items. Good selection of food, not a lot like a Chinese buffet but a solid selection of classic dishes. They also bring fresh breads made to order to go with the dishes.

Surprisingly, one of the very very few Indian restaurants that I have REALLY enjoyed in all aspects in USA and I have been to many. Enjoy it. Do not compare it to something in India or at home, but as far as in Hicksville/USA I would say very good.

Worst ever place I have been to. Absolute looters with all sorts of taxes I have never heard about. I wish I had an option for minus 5 stars. Food not that great, service sucks.

Love this place for any day of the week, takeout, dine in, or buffet, it doesnt matter. Also, they do a fried bread that tastes like an Italian zeppoli without the sugar.
