Okay - I dont usually rant but these guys are a disgrace to University City. We need a good italian restaurant in the area and this is not it. I had takeout .. did not dine in. First, I ordered a chicken plate. They literally brought me something that looks and tastes like chicken wings from a bar with a few greens... $20+ for this... i think they even put on a hot sauce like topping. What type of italian restaurant is this? Next, I asked for spaghetti with bolongese .... turns out the menu on their site and the one on Zagat is not up to date... no dice. in fact they had no red sauce with meat whatsover (no meatballs, no bolongese nothing...) what type of italian restaurant doesnt have this stuff! Anyway, settled for two spaghetti plates... one with plain red sauce and the other with a lamb ragu... They used gnocchi instead!.. Sorry but this place deserves to go out of business ASAP.

Just had a horrible meal. Everything was tasteless, poorly coked, and overpriced. I ordered tea along with my freidns (which I found out cost four dollars each) and it came with the SALTIEST water I have ever tasted. They apologized and replaced the water and explained they got it from the espresso maker and that it was probably due to the residue steam. It was repulsive. Then I had two of my credit cards declined which was embarrasing. I went to CVS right after and had no problem using them whatsoever. Overall, a bad experience and there are far better restaurants out there. I hope it is replaced.

I go here routinely for lunch, the beet salad is amazing! Love getting to watch them make the pasta from scratch Very nice place if youre in the area and want a nice meal

Gone down hill since: - theyve removed ALL the comfortable chairs. - trimmed the selection a bit. - made it so the text book side is RARELY open for browsing.
