Im vietnamese and if you respect your taste buds, stomach and yourself, I would highly recommend not coming here. You are in the center of vietnamese town when in Washington street, there are too many other options to get vietnamese food for you to come here. I just had to make a return on a purchase because when I opened the container, the food had a slime coating. Clearly the food spoiled and they were nice enough to give me a refund. Aside from selling spoiled food, the older women who work there have no manners or understanding of how to treat other people. Not that they are upright rude, but not welcoming or friendly at all. All their other food options are laid in the open with a few flies buzzing around so I would be cautious also. The place does not seemed air conditioned and I would just give it a second thought about buying things in the summer there. As for their banh mi, I feel like people who gave it rave reviews dont know what a banh mi should really taste like. Cafe Cuong and huong lan are just two other places that make fresh banh mi as you order. Just please dont go here and think youre getting fresh vietnamese food.

Food is fair. However, the service is horrible. I came here on the monday, bought a few of their products. Then when i checked, they charged me more than what I bought. Let them check my bag, then they said because i paid by visa. They wont refund for me. I have to add the other item, which is same price. The lady next to me had a same problem about charging more than what she bought. It is not only the story. We order 3 hoagies, they made only 2 and said that they did not hear we order 3. We have 3 people and everyone ordered 1 hoagie. So I order again, paid 6.0 dollars. The hoagie is 5.5 dollars. Then they give me back 10 cents. They was wrong about 25 cents and 5 cents. I check the receipt that hoagie is 5.5 and no tax. So they should give back 50 cents. I did not tell them about that because they made to much trouble in the monday morning, i just wanna get out there as soon as possible. MOST IMPORTANT, i wont come back. Please read this review and make sure you check your bags and money back.

If you come here, GRAB A HOAGIE. I dont generally like anything thats not a fat sandwich, but a Viet Hoagie, Ill take. Dropped by here once after work, and never regretted it. The inside is essentially a bakery filled with bread, side dishes, and drinks. No seats, and no tables for customers, so its more of a grab n go. There are plenty of things on the menu, but I personally recommend the Hoagies. Its cheap, good, and really a great mid day pick me up, or post gym workout. There are special drinks available too, but I didnt want it at the time, next time though.

Went to Ba Le Bakery last night for my first Banh Mi. It was arount 7:45 PM. Bakery was completely cleaned up for the night. I asked for help from the three voung girls behind the counter who were busy on their cell phones. I was told they were open but the only Banh Mi thay had was the vegeterian. The bread was already packed in a plastic bag not fresh. We left! Wont go back.

The restaurant/bakery is good, though it may be a bit unorganized or unsanitary, youre not really there to eat. Order a sandwich and go somewhere else :) people arent rude, its just busy and you gotta be loud and pay attention to your order. The food is great, "banh mi" comes in variety and theres bubble tea! Cant beat that.

excellent authentic vietnamese cuisine in convenient prepackaged takeaway and fresh, made to order bahn mi. get either one of the pork bahn mi. the other side dishes have been better in other areas, but its still a worthwhile visit.

I came here for its famous selection of Bánh mì sandwich. They also provide a lot of cooked or pre-prepared Vietnamese food and goods here. The price is reasonable and the taste is supurb!! Recommended!!

Great service. I really like the sandwich I got from here. Bread was a little bit hard, but crunchy. Be open minded and try something new here, you might fall in love with it just I did.

I love their hoagies because their own bread is awesome. They also have excellent iced coffee. Great place to visit even if your food background is not Vietnamese.

My husband always claims that if we move to South Philly, he is going to move there and eat everything! We go there once a month for Vietnamese hoagies.

Delicious Vietnamese hoagies and sweet beverages. Their $15 credit card minimum is disappointing, since you always have to have cash.

The hoagies are good, but I waited close to 1 hour for it. When I informed them that I waited close to one hour, they just laughed
