I was just married at the Revere Tavern November 10, 2012 and I regret ever signing the contract. From the very first meeting my now husband and I were treated very poorly- we met with the wedding manager and I left both meetings in tears. She was not friendly and made us feel very unwelcome. Her snotty remarks about our cake and centerpiece choices just added to the misery. It took having my father to call and complain for us to get what we wanted. On the day of our actual wedding a different wedding manager oversaw our wedding and we had no problems with her. Once the wedding ended my husband and I stood outside of our honeymoon suite saying good night to my maid of honor and bridesmaid when a Banquet Manager approached us and said he found two beer cans outside and that it was very disrespectful of us and how disappointed he was. I responded that we knew nothing of this incident and also that we were inside at our reception all night and how can we be responsible for what was happening outside. We were told that as the bride and groom we were responsible and that it was our fault. I burst into tears as he stormed away and my maid of honor ran after him to talk to him, and he was very nasty with her and walked away while she was still speaking to him. After calling my parents who were also paying to stay in the hotel that night, we went back to the banquet to speak to the manager. The restaurant manager apologized and said she didn’t know the banquet manager and offered us a free drink at the bar and told us to not worry about it. We felt we were being brushed off and a free drink was not adequate to rectify the situation. It took one of my husband’s groomsmen to walk around the restaurant himself to locate the banquet manager. It was finally then that the General Manager of the restaurant and the offending banquet manager came to our honeymoon suite to offer an apology. The apology made to me was quite fake and very offending. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I requested that they apologize to my parents who just paid the $6,000 + bill for the evening. They did comp my parent’s room for the weekend, which we felt was the least they could have done. Instead of spending a relaxing evening with my new husband in our suite, we were so upset that we packed up our things, checked out, and drove home at 2am. They ruined my wedding and because of this I will never set foot in the Revere Tavern again in my life. It saddens me to think that for the rest of my life this event will be the memory I have of my wedding. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner, and especially not for a wedding venue. The customer service is terrible, management just tries to cover up for their own people even when they are in the wrong, and they are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever met. The lack of respect for my husband and I was appalling. I recommend that you drive as far away from this place as you can and select another venue for your wedding.

I dont even know where to start! We had our wedding reception at the Revere in March 17. The photos on their Wedding Wire do not do this place justice at all!! Please do not pass based on photos. The room has two great stone fireplaces, which we had lit during cocktail hour. It made for a very warm and romantic setting. There is so much including in their pricing, it would be foolish for anyone to pass up! Their chef was amazing, he made a custom charcuterie board for me. Our group are big foodies. The rest of the meal was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and delivered hot. It is also located next to a Best Western hotel, which is super convenient, most of our guests were from out of town. Last, but not least, Kim (the wedding coordinator) was wonderful to work with! I had so many crazy ideas and requests. She helped keep me sane and always guided me in the right direction. I could not have done it without her!

The snapper soup is the only reason the review isnt a 1 star. I ordered the special, teriyaki scallops over jasmine rice, which was actually white rice. It was mediocre and not worth the $20. My wife ordered the crab cakes for $24 over some strange medley of corn, what looked like fried breakfast potatoes, and cherry tomatoes. The crab cakes didnt taste like crab. When you put a bite of them In Your mouth without seeing what was on the fork youd never guess what you were eating other that mush. I would never return nor suggest this place. We dine at many restaurants and this one is at the bottom of the list as far as the taste of the food that was served. The waitstaff was polite, clean and always refilling water, etc. this review is solely based on the food. If you want to eat in a historic building once owned by president James Buchanan with lousy tasting food, come here.

Let me start out with this is my first ever review of a restaurant . This place made me write one .The one star is for the service ,waitress was great . The wife and I stopped while staying at a B&B nearby . The appetizers came mine was cold in the center not edible . The chicken dish my wife ordered was like rubber and gray . Thankfully the dish I ordered was not that bad we split it. The manager did comp the one dish , so we decided to hit the bar on the way out for a Irish coffee surely they couldnt mess that up, ordered the 2 drinks gave the bartender a 20 . Apparently they tip themselves also as no change was forthcoming . I noticed he was talking to the manager before serving us maybe they had to make up for the crappy dish . This was a weeknight they were not busy .I can see why at this point . I would recommend this place to no one .

My daughter was married at the Revere Tavern Friday October 25,2013. From the first time we met with Tina, one of the managers, till the end of the wedding, she was outstanding!!! She was always there to answer our questions whenever we called through out the year before the big day. She and the entire staff were very professional. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. Tina was there to help us with everything. The service was excellent, the food was extremely good and every one was so nice to us. When the happy couple went to their bridal sweet there was complimentary champagne, sandwiches and lots of other goodies. Our experience could not have been better!! I praise highly the Revere Tavern. Thank you everyone for making my daughters wedding so special!! Mother of the bride.

2 Stars because the service was great. Sarah was her name. Stuffed mushroom app was good. Caesar dressing was clearly out of a bottle and too tangy. Ordered the "28 day aged" ribeye. Im a steak guy and love aged strips and ribeyes. No way the steak I had tonight was aged. If you love steak you know the difference and what I am talking about. Blatant misrepresentation in my opinion. $30 for a USDA Choice "unaged" Ribeye. Taste was decent, but it was a 19.99 steak at best, not aged in any way in my opinion. Beware.
