This is a hidden gem, reasonably priced, and the chefs definitely know what theyre about. My friend and I recently stumbled across this place and were not disappointed. Though the decor is a little dated the staff is friendly and the food is amazing. We tried the Calamari Fritti, which was lightly dredged and tender served with your standard lemon and marinara sauce. The sauce alone is worth extra cheers because everyone knows the foundation of a good Italian restaurant is the marinara sauce. A nicely textured, well seasoned, with Roma tomato sauce. I had the Atlantic Salmon. The salmon fillet was seared perfectly and still delicate and flaky, the asparagus was definitely fresh and flavorful, perfectly cooked (still slightly crunchy) and vibrant. I honestly have no good way to describe the mashed potatoes other than AMAZING. The texture was smooth yet firm, with little bits of potato in it, very well seasoned with a rich buttery flavor. The entire entree is topped with a delicate creamy crab sauce that just brings all the flavors together, Im honestly still drooling days later. My friend had the Gnochetti di Mauro. The gnocchi had a perfect texture that was light and not starchy, cooked perfectly with a light creamy crab sauce with a touch of the marinara was a perfect sauce. It lightly coated the gnocchi with a wonderful depth in flavor while allowing the gnocchi itself to be the star of the show. Well done chefs, well done!

Ive liked them up until they "renovated" the place. They changed the place and the menu making it all try to seem more upscale. A good example is that the kids used to like the pizza. They now charge the same price for a "personal" pizza that they did for a whole one, and the quality went down as well. I have to say the service went downhill too, not nearly as friendly as they used to be. That "family restaurant" feel is gone, sadly.

I tried the Gnochetti di Mauro and that dish has made me want to return again and again! It was a generous portion and tasted amazing. Our server was incredibly polite, professional, courteous, knowledgable and wanted to know that you were happy and taken care off. This restaurant has left a great impression on me. I will be coming back!

I have been taking my family here for 2 years, now and we have always been happy. This is the perfect place for family get togethers to sit and enjoy authentic Italian Food. Get a few differrent appetizers and main dishes and pass them to share that way you can taste a variety of items, you wont be disappointed!!

I love Assante. The restaurant is beautiful with the remodel and comfortable to be in. The food is delicious and high quality. Soups are amazing. Drinks are wonderful. Service is fabulous and the family that owns it are the sweetest, most welcoming people. This restaurant is a must!

By far the best Italian food in the Lehigh Valley. Better than A Ca Mia and Mama Ninas. I had the best Mussels of my life here. The service is 100% on point. The drinks are great. Good beer selection. Definitely will be back. The remodel of the interior is very classy!

Assante is a great place for homestyle Italian food. You wont find any avant-garde dishes on the menu, just traditional favorites. The food is good though and the prices are reasonable. The sundried tomato pesto they serve with your complimentary bread is fantastic!

Good local Italian restaurant. Homemade pasta & cheese. Excellent salads. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Would recommend a full meal over the "bar food" options. Gnocchi is incredible - light and fluffy and goes nicely with the Bolognese. Would recommend.

Waited to be seated while workers just brushed past. Hostess was rude with more than half the dining room empty she said "Ill have to see if we can find you a table..." Walked out eventually after waiting another 10 mins to be seated

The food is Great! I had the Atlantic Salmon with mashed potatoes. My wife had the chicken parmesan and it too was good. Definitely worth the money! I definitely will go back in the future.
