Ok so if I could give this no stars I would... my family went here for dinner in a large group of 12 people and I would say that half of us hated it... but the worst of all is that in my personal experience I got a salad which was not great cause the lettuce was warm.... thats my first plate.. my second plate consists of fries, fried rice, and chicken and broccoli. The fries were cold and I found a bone in my chicken and broccoli... oddly enough the bone was shaped exactly like a tooth from either a cat or dog or at least thats what appeared to be... it was shape enough to make my gums bleed... No if thats not bad then this is... the manage said thats normal... thats really special!!!

Ive been going here for a while and its always been okay. Monday night we went there for a late dinner (8pm) thinking it would be fine as the hours said the didnt close until 9:30. In the time we were there they put out NO fresh food. The buffett was sparse to say the least. And what food there was not fresh- I had battered scallops that were HARD. Not only that but the server brought us our check after we each had 2 plates then HOVERED waiting for us to pay. I understand people being there right up until closing is a pain, but dont have your hours say 9:30 if your going to basicly closed AN HOUR AND A HALF EARLY. We will no longer go to this establishment.

Best buffet in Monroeville, the only Chinese one, but its really good, Ive tried a ton in the Pittsburgh area. Not a fan of Golden Corral, so this is the buffet of choice for sure. Tons of choices, pleasant staff, easy in and out. And delicious. Sushi selection could be bigger, and I never get the hibachi, theres too many choices to pick from from the food islands. Egg drop soup, thick and golden yellow, as it should be. Reminds me of the Chinese when I was growing up in Queens, NY, and that says a lot for me. (Why I rarely eat Pizza here really) Anyways, give it a try, youll like it.

This restaurant was one of the nicest Chinese restaurants Ive been to in a while. Its very clean and well maintained, and the interior is absolutely amazing! Theres a large variety of food that includes both Chinese and American cuisine (predominately Chinese). Theres also so many kinds of sushi and deserts to choose from! Even though the restaurant is 3/4 full, its quiet because the people dont talk to loud. Soothing music plays in the background, creating a relaxing kind of ambiance. The servers are very kind and respectful. Overall, this is a great place to bring the family!

Clean with so much variety of dishes to choose from! With 9 rows of buffet tables plus a sushi chef and a hibachi chef in attendance to cook to your own choosing, there are plenty of food for everyone. Weekends menu expand to more seafood like crab legs and more. Fortune Star becomes my favorite place to bring my business prospects to discuss deals. I have frequent Fortune Star for over 10 times the past two months since I discovered it then. What better place than a good clean restaurant to attract more clients for my business.

I love Fortune Star. Its one of the prettiest buffets in Monroeville and the restaurant is very clean and well-lit. The staff are very pleasant. They have excellent variety and good quality foods and sushi. They also offer hibachi, although I havent tried it. The lunch price is the most reasonable, but the reason dinner is so much more is because they serve a lot more seafood. They also have carry-out options. Id highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Monroeville.

I went with a group of friends because one of them likes the place very much but personally Ive never eaten anywhere worse. All the food probably came from Syria and or the pet store next door and it was incredibly messy. Worst of all the staff barely spoke any English, like I asked for a refill and she laughed and walked away. I think I saw a rat run out the door as I was leaving. I wish I could give it less than one star. My friend was wrong about that place.

Pro: Food Variety; No Food holding back even near the time closing (New Crabs at 8:30 PM); Service-oriented Waitresses; Cheap price for younger kids $3; Cleanness (they actually clean the wall / partition too) Con: MSG If not count the cons, this is definitely our favorite Chinese buffet restaurant in Pittsburgh. However, my 3-year-old son is sensitivity to MSG, which causes his skin itchy and red. So, we cant not eat at this place anymore. Too Bad.

Discriminatory staff. We went in here the other day with my son, who is autistic and has a service dog. When we walked in, the hostess just stared at us for a good 30 seconds, then told us that we would have to sit in a separate room by ourselves (which is a violation of the ADA) but I was willing to let that slide, except that same hostess continued to glare at us the whole time we were there. We wont be going back.

I frequent this place. Love it here, its not expensive at all, there is always a wide variety on food, great seafood selections and sushi. They have hibachi if you want that. Food is constantly switched out so theres usually no stake food in the tables. I always come back here. Tried two other Asian buffets around town and didnt care for them.

Best sushi/everything buffet around! Food is always fresh and never dried out like on other buffets, and Sushi variety is just right. Habachi and other beautifully prepared delicacies are to satisfy all palates. Extremely Large variety of items. Reasonably priced and friendly service. always coupons! My familys favorite for celebrations.

We moved to Pittsburgh almost a year ago and have been 2 several Chinese restaurants, but this is the 1st one that exceeded in cleanliness, display of buffet, and over all tastes of their food. Not only ishows the food great but it is cheap too! $7.85 for lunch buffet sure beats any other buffet Ive been too!

I went there for lunch and it cost 7.45 per person. The food was delicious. They have a hibachi where you can choose exactly what you want in it and also they had sushi. They also have American food there, but a great variety of chinese buffet food. I would suggest going there. Its huge! And cheap for lunch

I have been to disappointing Asian buffets and this is not one of them. The dining area and restrooms are always clean. The staff is very attentive and the buffet is wide-ranging. The price is fair and the food is always reasonably fresh, hot and tasty. Also, the dessert area and sushi bar are great.
