I made a reservation for my mothers 80th Birthday luncheon. I called the same day and asked about brining her special homemade cake. The restaurant informed me that they would charge each person $1.25 to plate and serve. I found this absurd and would have cancelled immediately if other out of town family was not planning to attend. I brought the cake, plates and forks and served it myself and the owner informed our server to charge anyway. So we paid $8.75 to eat our own dessert. Also, we were there on Mothers day and our food was excellent and on Sunday, the food was very mediocre (grissley steak, salad wilted minus veggies.... Go figure. From one month to the next. Will not be returning and we were frequent visitors.

Nice family owned restaurant outside downtown Mercersburg. Recommend sitting by window near the bird houses, nice way to enjoy your meal and view of birds. I had the haddock broiled in butter, fish and sides dishes it came with were served hot and filling. My family and I shared a slice of their strawberry cheesecake which was very good too. Price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. I guess Jimmy Carter stopped by at this restaurant during his presidency so this is a historic restaurant as well.

Delicious homemade pies, sticky buns, and other various treats to tempt the palate made in-house. Fast, courteous service. I am addicted!! Love it! A sweet little spot at the literal foot of the appalacian mountains....oh...and the coffee....i am addicted to the coffee!!!!;)

Excellent homestyle cooking, at a fair price. The owner is an awesome young man with a real positive attitude. I always enjoy my visits there. I recommend this place if you are Eever near Mercersburg, PA.

The food was good. The crispy chicken salad was delicious, as were the kids chicken fingers. Tesha was our waitress and was outstanding. I really recommend, especially if yes has is your server.
