Do you like General Tsos chicken? If so, move along to another Chinese restaurant. We went to this place only 15 mins after they opened to enchant ourselves on their buffet, and despite there only being 6 other people in the restaurant, they had run out of General Tsos, lo mein and egg rolls. As the restaurant filled, crowds gathered around the buffet to discuss the absence of the fabled General Tsos as we waited 25 mins for them to refill it. And when they did, Im not sure it was chicken that was bathed in that sauce, as the meat inside was as not only dark, it was gray - as in the color of the hair on your grandpas nether-regions. It tasted like it too - it was more disappointing than the day I realized Santa isnt real. Equally disappointing was the lo mein, as it tasted like making out with my 80-year-old chain-smoking aunt - which probably would have been more appetizing than the food in their undersized buffet. The only remotely edible items in the place were the sugar coated donut pieces, so now my stomach is in a state of revolt because my lunch consisted entirely of deep fried dough coated in sugar. Thanks, Bean Curd - or should I say Bean Turd? Also of note was the fact that one of their employees was seated at a table In the middle of the restaurant with about 12 pounds of string beans overflowing on the table as he snapped and prepared them for cooking. Now Im no food safety inspector, but Im thinking that preparation of food in the middle of a public dining area is likely a health concern, not to mention a strange choice of decor. Finally, I suggest that if you plan on having something to drink with your meal, you bring it yourself. Once my water was gone, and my waitress having vanished, I was forced to go thirsty until my ice melted into drinkable form - although I had to shove my glass under my armpit to speed up the process. So in summary, the place has poor food, poor service, and questionable food preparation techniques - unless youd like to gamble with your health, test the limits of your sanity, and sharpen your survival skills searching for water, I recommend treating this place like a gang shooting and doing a drive-by.

This place has a small Chinese buffet, a small sushi counter, and a small bar. The prices are small, but so is the taste. I got the three-roll sushi lunch. The miso soup tasted off, and the tuna was gray (if it was in fact tuna). Not pink, not "chocolate"...It was gray. It didnt smell bad, but it didnt have much taste, either. Even the cooked eel, which is usually pungent, didnt have much flavor. I now understand why people say they dont like sushi. If this were my first experience, I wouldnt like sushi, either. On the plus side, my server, Felix, was great. It was the lunch rush and he was very accommodating. The front desk was busy with takeout, but still friendly. The sushi took a long time to make. I had a minor stomach problem after my meal. The place is small, so I left smelling like a combination of everything on the menu and had to go home to change clothes.

Best sushi value around. I eat like a recently released cell mate of Paris Hilton three times a day and usually get 3-4 sushi rolls. Both times my bill has been less than $30 - sans alcohol of course. Service can be a little slow, especially with larger parties or the sushi roadblock I set up. However, the crunchy fried air they bring out before your meal will keep you occupied. The portions are large, people are nice, and prices are reasonable. This hidden gem is a solid choice in the south hills. And if that doesnt do it for you, theres always the girls in yoga pants coming from the studio next door.

This place is garbage. My wife and I went at 9 on a Saturday night. The place was only half full and there were open tables all over the place. The hostess said she would seat us, but never did anything to get the table ready. 5 minutes goes by and no one has done anything even though there are 15 tables open. After ten minutes, we were told that someone would get our table ready. The whole time were standing there the host staff is talking about getting drunk, how stupid the customers are, how the owners think they are fat, etc. After 15 minutes we left. This place is crap. Avoid the Bean Turd.

Ive been ordering here for years. The food is amazing and they deliver! Fried dumplings are great, as are their soups and lo mein dishes. Ive recently tried their sushi and found it to also be quite fresh and delicious. Would recommend to anyone new to the area or looking for a great Chinese food restaurant.

Mark East youre lying to yourself bean curd is the best Chinese experience I have ever had. They are so thoughtful and the general Tso chicken is so good and they always make room for 20 or more soccer players when we finish up with practice

My fiance and I love bean curd so much so that we eat here probably twice a week. The staff knows us by name (hi Charlie and Sue) and the food is wonderful. We never order the chinese food, only the sushi and soup! Delicious!!!

Ambiance was very quiet, calm, and professional. I really liked the vibe. Staff were very polite and attentive. Dish presentation was very different and unique; creative. Their tea is spectacular. I will definitely go back.

Has a small cozy feel to it. Used to be a regular sushi spot for my wife and I when we lived closer. Prices are reasonable. Service is consistently good. Only thing they are missing is mochi ice cream.

Wonderful staff, great prices, you can eat in, call in and do delivery. Their sushi is amazing, especially the rock n roll chef roll. I frequently visit here once every week or two.

Ordered here for years. Last night I decided to try something new. Long story short, I spent 15 dollars on general Tsos shrimp and they sent me 10 shrimp. Time to find a new place.
